I'm glad you recognized "a place you can sit down and eat." Many offerings in STL were culled during COVID, and I'm always appreciative of places that not only were able to stick it out, but now THRIVE, because I can take my family in to enjoy great food, great atmosphere AND the staffs that make us feel welcome.
Everybody says "go to the Hampton one" just cuz it's got the big ass sign and it's the biggest one, it's not the best quality tho. There's a hundred Imos locations around the city and the quality is hit or miss depending on where you go or who's making your food but there are def better ones than Hampton. But STL style pizza has grown beyond Imos. It's similar to Philly with the cheesesteak. Imos is like Pats or Genos but there are a lot of smaller places that make way better STL style pizza.
Deluxe and Meat are 🔥 The other ones are not so good. I usually get it "well done". And it definitely matters which Imos and even who makes it. Imos has really gone downhill in last 15-20 years.
Imos is a chain restaurant. Imos was better back in the day before it became so commercialized. They have bottled sauces and frozen pizzas now. It's still good but not as good as 15-20 yrs ago.
Imos used to good about 15 years ago. Now it is nasty AF! You have to know which places are good. Even St. Louis residents will tell you Imo is no longer good.
The Hampton store is the original. Plus we are from STL and Imos is the best pizza for me and a whole lot of other people. Now this mans word is not law you guys are making him rich by following him. He couldn’t stop eating on his own he had to get a bypass and those are his tastebuds not yours. But he keeps coming to STL! I wonder why!
IMO’s is trash on its best day. STL people take it mad personal. But I don’t even consider it pizza. It should be its own category and not even called “pizza” It should be required to be called “STL SYLE PIZZA” to make sure there’s a differentiation. I do not want white Velveeta (provel) on my pizza. Their wings aren’t bad. They’re usually good and crispy.

@yettiegg Well, it's good to many of us St.louisans and many people that aren't from here like it too..We always say that you may or may not like it but you got to atleast try it once. Not everyone is going to like it and that's alright. Just like with anything and everything else where ever you go to eat. It also depends on the location you go to. But it's still pizza to us 😊 Also, there's no secret that our pizza is provel cheese. St.Louis is well known for that. That's what makes us different. You either like it or not, but either way, it's all good.
Why do you take ONE bite of food you review? That seems kinda simple. I've watched 2 other videos and it's actually kinda annoying. See, Im a foody, and even when food isn't my cup of tea, I eat! You can't review a bite and say it's an empirical judgement on flavor, texture, and any other point to be taken in by your viewers. It's a slack review. And also a bit dismissive. Have a nice day.
