Well this must a first Tyler, the Aston just needs a service? No leaks, no broken pipes, no warning lights... 🤔 Well done sir she cannot be referred to as a hooptie 👍😂
@@craiglautenslager I own a 1968 Ford escort. No rust and has never brocken down or given me any trouble. Also 1961 Etype again never let me down. All car's will let you down if not maintained.
2020 its a really rare year i have no idea how he bought a car that doesn't need repairs just simple mainteinance how that's possible? Its the end of the world?
@@zachgregory1289 Unfortunately it's rare to find a honest mechanic (Extremely hard!) I've been driving for 20 years and haven't had the pleasure of finding a honest mechanic (UK)
@@1985toyotacamry Being a father of 2 i can totally relate. I could never fathom how something so tiny can produce so much poop and sometimes you have to leave the room and gather the courage to go back in and it doesn't help the whole time my mother and wife are laughing at me.
@@tjk9263 definitely in my case it was my sister I never change a diaper but once I see that I'm like I'm not ready for this but I dive in and it wasn't so bad just it took much longer than I expected.
@@mattevans4377 The automatic transmission in those years when Aston Martin was owned by Ford were awful. That is why many owners of Aston's paid the big money to have their's changed to manual transmissions. It cost close to 40,000 dollars to have it changed but anyone that can afford to buy an Aston Martin can afford to pay to change the transmission.
@@tjk9263 I was joking. Sort of. Let me put it this way. Alfa Romeo's of old, fell apart like no-one's business. But, for 5 minutes a year, they were perfection, when everything worked right. Aston Martin is like that. Terrible, but also, perfect.
“You definitely needed my help.” Lol just an excuse to get out of the house (and film a video). Like Junior Mint or Crazy D couldn’t help hold an engine steady... 😆
Hiya Hoovie I remember when I was 8 years of age I was in an Aston Martin the same one as Lord Brett Sinclair drove in the persuaders. There was 5 people in it and it still went like a rocket this was on the m23 in the Uk I would never forget what an experience. Hope you and your family keep safe and well all the best V 😃😃😃😃🙏🏼🇺🇸🇬🇧
When Ferruccio Lamborghini started out driving those sports touring cars of which he had many, one of which was a Ferrari 250 he discovered that this one and others were burning out clutches for a pastime, after several replacement clutches he brought his displeasure to Enzo Ferrari's attention but to no avail, so Lamborghini suggested that their own company go down the route of building a touring Sports car, using even some of their already proved tractor parts and moreover insisted that their Tractor clutches be put into same to do away with that weak link ... with that did was to came with a robust and reliable Sports tourer, leading to a lot of sales of same.
I would definitely be going through forums and what not to find out what all the common engine problems are on these things and doing all that while it is out.
Awesome video. Love how you took the engine out, real smart. I’ve been telling Freddie to remove both his lambo engines and he just plays with it. Thanks for sharing.
I feel for you Tyler. Seems like this may be the 1st engine pull that you've physically been at. I've seen and performed many engine pulls/swaps. If you thought that it coming out was scary, just wait till it is going back in.
Wizard: "I need you to come out of isolation to hold the engine steady while I take it out." (A dude with a broom walks by in the the background 9:06.)
I don’t like a lot of YT videos. But I always like all of Hoovies because I want to feel like I’m helping him get closer to break even , instead of completely wasting money on them lol
That Aston looks just like my Prius did last year - spots of rough love and in need of a tuneup(basically fluid and filter changes), but a solid 10/10. I love these kinds of vehicles - you buy them and kepp 'em.
I can never get over the structure of the Murcielago (check that spelling Hoovie!). It looks like makeshift kit car under the body panels. That's Lambo pre-Audi for you.
The "Lamborghini" skit is sooo great. I'm going through a difficult time after losing my Mom and this makes me laugh, thank you Hoovie and Car Wizard!!
Ya never know what to expect when the caption reads "Uh Oh " & then you see the back end of the Wizard!! Yikes! Butt it turns out that the Rapide is in pretty good shape. It's a good day!! Stay safe & healthy everyone 😷
I had to replace the spark plugs and coils in my Mazda which had the 3.0L V6 which this engine is two of, and it's true that you do have to remove the intake runners to get to half of the spark plugs. It was kind of a pain. It was a nice engine though! It took the same direct ignition coils as some 90s Mustang SVT Cobra, funnily enough.
It's amazing how fast people click on these videos. I clicked "LIKE" when it was 100 and made it 101 likes. Immediately I refreshed the page (it took one second) and that fast there was 207 LIKES!!!!!
i think it's a bit more complicated than that. youtube don't refresh it's view counts and likes every second. it just changed as you refreshed. also, it's hardly amazing. most people are on lock-down, so youtube in general is seeing way more traffic.
I always thought it would be nice to have the time and day of the week that inspection occurred on that plaque with the name. Would save a lot of headaches.
I recently did a photo shoot on a rapide and the same gentleman did the final inspection on that as well thought that was pretty neat seeing that on here!
Imagine going to work every day to build Aston martins. You work your ass off and are very proud of your work. Then one of your cars gets bought by a RU-vid personality and you think you’ll finally get your name out there.... then the RU-vidr proceeds to call you burn hard and chuckles at your name. RIP
Hi… I have a Citroen with the same window drop system… they function this way when opening the door because the top of the window nibs into the rubber water/door seal… this frees the door to open without hindrance.
