The magic of Angelina is not just her amazing voice and her musical skill. The secret is that she is an empath. Her ability to absorb and communicate emotion is off the chain. She can get the gist of any emotion whether she has experienced it herself or not. She intuitively knows what emotion sounds like. She absorbs, amplifies and musically communicates emotion at a world class level (since she was seven years old). That's why people say she is an angel. Because she can make you cry by singing a song (it doesn't even have to be a sad song). BTW, I know exactly what you mean when you say 'She's an old soul', but it always makes me smile when someone says it because souls are immortal.

When you go a while without hearing Angelina, it only takes about 3 words for you to remember what a rich and captivating voice she has. I can't relate on the "going a while without listening to her" (since I have listened to her literally every single day since I discovered her years ago), but I can relate on some level because she has so many songs, that I will sometimes go a couple weeks without hearing a particular song. Then as soon as she starts singing I think, "wow I had forgotten how good this one is". I've heard them all hundreds of times now, and she still somehow manages to catch me off guard sometimes. BTW: It's great to have you as a new member of the Angelina fan community!!

She sang this again a year later, at 12, live in concert. It is absolutely a world class version of the song. Please listen to that one on your own time, it is much longer, you'll love it. Also, I am from the Southern U.S. "Wundrin'" is how it's pronounced, lol. Angelina is channeling her inner country. Yes, she is a child. Yes, she is a singer. But she is not a child singer. Angelina makes you fall in love, it has happened to all of us who have been following her for years and every time, seeing the reactors that react like us to her voice, comforts us in our passion for that beautiful girl. 😁 This is in fact one of the deepest and most exciting covers of everything she sing, the song "Crazy" singing with Patsy Cline in 1962, was played by Angelina in the summer of 2018 at just 11 years old. It's amazing how she uses her breath, her warm tone and her hoarse voice in a varied way, all accompanied by her incredible low register that, IMO, is better than Patsy. ❤️ Even the version, with the accompaniment of Engil's guitar, is absurdly beautiful 😎

Gitana, I’ve come to the conclusion that Angelina was born with acute sensitivity, awareness, intuition and instincts for her to be able to channel the essence of the lyrics. Angelina has the rare ability to let her mind go to a different plane of existence when she performs. This is a trait or capability I have witnessed in other supremely gifted musicians and artists. The late and gifted blues guitarist and singer, Stevie Ray Vaughn also had this innate ability.

I can remember the Patsy Cline Version of "Crazy" when I was a toddler. I'm 60 now. Angelina put her own stamp on this one. Holds close to Patsy's Version. Both very much enjoyable. If you haven't give a reaction to Patsy Cline's version. Their voices match perfectly to this song.

"Crazy" was composed by Willie Nelson. According to Willie, he was at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville, and had put his own song "Crazy" in the jukebox. Patsy Cline's husband heard it and wanted to get it to Patsy. ... In another interview, Willie says that the song originally was called "Stupid". She loved the song and agreed to record it, and the rest is history. A few years ago it was selected as the greatest country song ever. Angelina is 11.6 years old in this cover. It's hard to say that any version of this song is equal to Patsy's (none could ever be better), but Angelina has fashioned a different vibe with her version; slowed it down, sang it acoustic, and made it more of a bluesie, jazz song. I believe Angelina is at her best with the simplified, acoustic performances, where her voice is the centerpiece. I totally LOVE her version, and put it on the same level as Patsy's. You hade me confused with that "generations" thing, so I had to look it up. Willie Nelson wrote the song in early 1961 and Patsy's recording was released later that same year. I guess many people know it as a Patsy Cline song because she had a much bigger hit with it than what Willie ever did. With the facts sorted we can now enjoy the song in full, and Angelina allows us to do that in many ways. One of them is her use of rubato that allows the phrases to sink in and make themselves a home in our soul before she delivers the next one.

SLACKER!!! You are right Patsy recorded this in 1961 so Willie wrote it either that year or the year before. I want to see Angelina do a duet before Willie is no longer with us. I would buy it, wouldn't you. You know she hears these re-arrangements in her head before she really does a performance. She sings this even more slowly than Willie does. If you know anybody in the music industry put this idea in their head. If I knew anybody that had any influence I would have done that already. Well Gitana, I am with you in many respects. At a certain point you just have to listen take it in and just accept it for what it is. All reactors and fans and Rusty and the people that Have been following Angelina for years all know that it just keeps building and building and building. I’ve said this in the past, it’s like this little girl is a gift from another universe from God from some higher power as the way she emotes the feeling of the song in a different way that pushes different internal buttons For me and many other people. It’s pretty amazing to hear Take a masterpiece of a song and add elements that no one has ever heard before. Her sequencing just press is all kinds of buttons inside. I have yet to hear One bad verse or a flat note or a sharp note or really bad timing from her. How? Kids are that are 6, 7, 8 or 9 years old will make little mistakes and get nervous and have pitch issues timing but Angelina just has divine intervention. I got to stop. I must correct myself, I will criticize young Angelina when she was a year and a half years old. Have you seen this video of her at this age? She’s a little off on timing and pitch. LOL, but the cute factor made up for that 10,000 times.

Great reaction to a very emotional song. I love watching you. Just an FYI in case you may not be aware. The thing about country music is that they were mostly written to be played on the radio. The stations would rarely play something more than 3:00 minutes long so the writers made most songs in this era 2:30-3:00 minutes long. I know, it truly sucks, but the business men were beginning to take over from the artists at this point.

This sounds like a wonderful blend of Willie's timings and phrasings, then Patsy's soarings. The story is that Patsy preferred Willie's version (very jazzy, very stylized pauses and stutters, but Patsy gave in and it was a giant success for her. In Willie's contemporary performances, his are usually stark, solo-guitar versions, too. But to jump back and forth between his lower-ranges and Patsy's soarings - only Angelina!

She does a good job but I've been a fan of Patsy Cline's for so long I can remember when this was new and she is a legend in country for good reason. Patsy Cline recorded Willie Nelson’s song, ”Crazy” first. Willie was a successful Nashville songwriter before he was known for singing and performing. Now that Angelina has done it, no one else needs to do it. I love all three, by the way.

Yes I agree her fans are a quite different to what you usually see. The demografics seem to be quit unusual with many older and even very old people. I cannot imagine that for the usual teeanager boygroup or Hanna Montany style teen star. And I guess you'll be hard pressed to find any other jazz singer mesmerizing metal heads and coverting them to become fans of a teeanage girl. Many fans seem to follow her for years. A singer here on youttube said he would be glad if he one day could attract such a loyal fanbase. I'm late to the party myself, stumbled onto her AGT performance just some weeks ago, but I enjoy the ride.

I am ,at age 76 a part of what makes Angelina special. I would never consider being a loyal fan of Lady Gaga types, or any pop star who sings that trashy songs so popular today. The same goes for any teen singers so popular today. Angelina is the "Sunshine of my life." Her voice is magical, hypnotic, Tender, Heartwarming, smoky, unique. It has healing properties, drops my blood pressure, takes away my headaches, makes me feel good to be alive. No other singer can do what she can do. he is the closest thing to a real ANGEL we will ever see on this earth, period

You loved the way she sang "wondering" ... she used something called a rhotic R. It's a stylistic choice she made in keeping with the southern accent used in country music. People of the southeastern United States use this rhotic R in everyday speech .... among many others.

Get Angelina's CD "It's Magic". She was 10-11 years old when she recorded it. "Crazy" is the second cut. It's longer than this video and it is astounding what she does with it vocally in a longer version. The 16 songs on the CD are all studio recordings, many of which are of the videos you have reacted to. She is backed by the Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps, the Norwegian military band that you see in some of her videos, as well as the usual guitarists and pianists who accompany her. Look for it on Amazon.

Crazy: Patsy Cline was interviewed about the song Crazy, and she stated that in the early 60s her career was going nowhere, and she was about to have her refrigerator repossessed when she heard that a song Willie Nelson gave her was going viral on all the country station. The song was CRAZY, and that song catapulted her to fame, as it did for Nelson. Patsy Cline's version of "Crazy" was great, but Angelina's version is over the moon, as always. AJ is the ultimate STORYTELLING vocalist of all time If a complete version of Crazy by AJ was played on country stations, it would be number one. This proves my point that AJ can be number one in all genres, not just jazz.

Gitana I know I am in the minority but I have not cared for much Angelina has done, but this was beautiful. Listen to Patsy Cline's version not necessarily for review but just as comparison for reference.
