Here it is! The all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator! I have waited to drive this car for quite some time and I'm so pumped to have it on test this week. This 2018 Lincoln Navigator is the top-spec model for the Canadian market, known as the Reserve. This has a starting price of $90,650 CAD but this car is a whooping $102,300! An extended wheelbase, the Navigator L, is also available. I've spent a long time anticipating this car and now I want to know: will I like it?
The Navigator competes against other luxury body-on-frame SUV's such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Cadillac Escalade and Infiniti QX80. The Lincoln was introduced to market at the same as the new Ford Expedition, that vehicle competes against the Nissan Armada, Chevy Tahoe and Toyota Sequioa.

For the record, I picked up my Black Label on 1/5/18. It was actually delivered to the dealership on 1/2/18. I was told I was the first consumer with a BL in Ohio and they think one of the first in the entire USA. I went with White Platinum with Yacht Club Theme and upgraded 22 inch 6 spoke rims. Absolutely incredible vehicle.

I've driven Escalades before and to be honest, the 2018 Navigator dusts all competition currently on the market. I looked at Cadillac, Mercedes, Range, Lexus and Infiniti. It's not even close. I also really like Lincoln as a company. I am extremely satisfied with everything the new Nav has to offer. It's a visually striking vehicle with plenty of room, a silky smooth ride, plenty of horsepower in a turbo V6 design and pure comfort with all the amenities for both short and long rides. I couldn't imagine a better vehicle to be honest and am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It's a bonafide head-turner and worth every dime.

i had owned the past two generations of the lincoln navigator and still have them and i loved this car and i am sure that i am going for the new one @@dmillionz

I test drove both and I like the Navigator, this will be my next SUV. As for the price, they are about the same the base Escalade with 4WD starts at 78,000 and the Navigator is 80,000. You might want to buy it a few year used to save money. What I like about the Navigator is they have a neat feature Cadillac Escalade does not. If you are in traffic the engine will stop. When you are ready to drive, the engine will start and this saves you signifiant gas. Size-The Navigator is 210 the Escalade is 204". Also, the engine is different-The Escalade has a V8 and can get you 420 HP 14-20 MPG but the Navigtor uses a turbo V6 which get's 30 more HP, 450 and slightly better gas, up to 23 miles highway. They can tow an equal ammount 8300 so no difference.As for relaibility JD power ranks Navigator in the top 10 in it's category, Escalades rank in the top 15 so they are more reliable. The Navigator also received higher marks on safety collision tests.

4:27, you nailed it there. I believe that takes the responsibility off of Lincoln, and puts it back on the driver. You decide how you want the vehicle to behave, not the vehicle guessing for you.

I just spent a week with a 2020 Armada, and drove over 700 miles during my week and did not experience the turning issues you describe, nor the vagueness you mentioned when turning.

Really like the car. But I wonder if you can get a Reserve used for 2 yrs at around $40,000 ? American cars just have HUGE depreciation.

Hey Canada! About 1/3 of the U.S. isn't concerned with snow. Florida, Texas, and most of California to name the big ones. Thus the RWD (max towing) versions live down here.

I am wondering what others think of the front seats. My Navigator is 2018 and the driver seat is wearing off fast. It’s very uncomfortable. I get tired after 2 hours. I regret my decision. Driver seat is the most important but I feel it’s not up to the standards of 100k.

I have a 2021 and Ford still insists on picking the default drive mode for you. I rarely use Normal. Everytime I have to change it. This is so infuriating. I have several other infuriations with the Navigator; such as the cup holder situation. It is horrendous in the vehicle. Absolutely horrendous.

I just can't get excited about electronics i won't use, a sunroof i hate, a screen of distraction sticking up in the dash, and 22's to ruin the offroad dive-ability.

I just like the front grill. The side and back are ugly. The display on the dash kills me. I prefer the integrated look. And the drive modes are a gimmick. Excite??? Lmao The ride on the 2006 Navigator would whoop this!!
