Can not emphasize enough how much I enjoyed this review of a car that I won't even come close to riding in let alone own. This channel's best car review ever - not only because, well, it's a Bugatti Chiron but also of the setting. The thumbnail showing the Toronto downtown skyline was gorgeous. Another thing I liked was the fact Doug was able to drive the car - some of the cars he reviewed he wasn't even able to drive them (the McLaren F1 & the Ferrari Enzo comes to mind). Finally, that last clip capturing Doug's close call with the police adds a nice little touch to cap it all off. I had a slight smile on my face all through the video ☺️

Even after 4 years, I still LOVE THIS CAAAAARRR! It is my all time favorite, the Chiron line from Bugatti is just AMAZING. The sound gets me every time, the sound is so menacing. It’s like the LFA, a great, unforgettable, and recognizable sound.

I think one thing that was left to mention is that when he said that you never get to go the full capability of the car on a normal road is that that is such a cool and unique feeling, because the driver gets to feel that the speed is unlimited, that no matter how hard you go you can always go faster and faster, and I think this is one of the few cars that can do that, that there isn't a limit speed, you can always feel that you're going faster and faster, that to me is so beautiful and I hope one day I can experience that my own, that car is pure art.

My 2001 Toyota Echo doesn't have a touchscreen either...it's timeless.

Holy crap. I tried one of those. When you step on the gas pedal, the tires turn to liquid. When you sit in it, it feels like you're sitting in a Swiss watch or a factory. You can feel all those cylinders whirring. There's nothing quite like it. It likes to drive in a straight line, like a Rolls. You can tell it must be super expensive to maintain, and apparently it destroys tires quickly at high speeds. It would be good for highways, but Ferraris handle better around corners. Very nice car. Very unique driving experience.

I had ti buy one but the lack of an infotainment display was a dealbreaker for me, I got a Volswagen Beetle instead

When Doug swore, I felt dirty.

I noticed that Land Rover dealership at the start - seems all of their dealerships are the same worldwide. The British showrooms are built to the exact same spec and have the same cladding, lettering etc. on them. Also, the whole point of the other key is to prevent it being enabled by accident or without the driver knowing. On the Veyron you needed to open the door (the keyhole was in the door jamb) and use the regular key to activate the spoiler and so on, hence the car needed to be safely parked up and turned off. Useful safety feature.

I was so happy to see that the oil tank can be accessed from the vehicle's exterior. Makes it so much easier when I find a Groupon and take my Bugatti to Jiffy Lube.

I love there “timeless” mentality with the interior. Screens look so tacky in general. Refreshing to see minimal in this.

Practicality definitely deserves a 2 or a 3 considering it has storage spaces inside the car unlike many supercars/hypercars.

If bugatti made a wagon version of the chiron, doug would give it a perfect score.

THIS is a man. More specifically, a 1988 Doug Demuro. And today, Im going to go over his quirks and features, then take him out on the road to see how he drives. THEN, we will give this Doug a Doug Score. Starting with the exterior, this 1988 Doug Demuro comes with a 2-tone color scheme. On the top, a grey shirt with the logo of the "Portland Sea Dogs" on it, and on the bottom, beige pants. An interesting color choice, and it seems to be aftermarket. Further, this model does not come with a hat. However, this is the Sport Model, so this Doug comes with a lapel microphone to record your commentary. That is about it for the exterior quirks, now we move to the interior. Inside, this Doug comes equipped with every option a man would have from the factory. All internal organs are present, however, this one has a a special program loaded onto the brain, enabling it to talk endlessly about quirks and features. Quite a nice option, and a truly rare one from the factory. This option in combination with the color scheme makes this man a unique example, the only one in the world. Now, lets take this guy out on the road, and see how he drives. Doug is not exceptionally fast, with a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour, a bit slower than the average 28 miles per hour of most humans, however, as he has the sport package, he can talk while doing so, and record it with the aforementioned lapel mic. SO, when you are done running, you can upload your lap commentaries, and share it with your friends. Doug's acceleration is decent, reaching his top speed in just 10 seconds, quite impressive. However, due to a bad evaporative cooling system found on all humans, Doug can only keep up his top speed for a few minutes, after which, the top speed drops drastically. Doug's handling is impressive. Like all humans, he can turn 360 degrees on the spot, can jump to clear low curbs or speedbumps, and is able to move using his arms as well as his legs. However, what sets this guy apart in the handling department is his ability to fit into rear seats. Doug can cram himself into even the smallest of rear seats, the most impressive being the rear seats on the 996 generation Porsche 911 with hardback sport seats. Even the smallest guys often cannot fit into those rear seats, however, Doug did. That concludes the driving experience of the 1988 Doug Demuro. And now it's time to give THIS guy a Doug score... Starting with the Weekend Categories and Styling, Doug is ok but not beautiful and the cheap clothes don't help, so he gets a 5 out of 10. Acceleration is fine, considering his height 6'4 and he gets a 6 out of 10. Handling is only ok, sometimes he can't handle special purpose cars plus he's a little tall and not athletic so he gets a 4 out of 10. Fun Factor is high, especially for who he izz, and the 2 T-shirts bump it up a point or two, and he gets an 8 out of 10. Cool Factor is high too, he is probably the best reviewer among other RU-vidrs and he gets a 9 out of 10 for a total Weekend Score of 32 out of 50. Next up are the Daily Categories and Features, he has a lot of weird/interesting quirks and features and he gets a 7 out of 10. Comfort is top notch, this guy is really comfy and relaxed and he gets a 9 out of 10. Practicality is low, he isn't practical at all, he even uses his iPhone to record and he gets a 3 out of 10. Quality is mediocre for the class, this guy just doesn't seem quite well built and he gets a 4 out of 10 Finally..,Value...Doug is worth watching, but he's "depreciating" fast considering he's only 30 and looks like 40 so he gets a 5 out of 10 for a total Daily Score of 28 out of 50.. Add it up and the Doug Score IZZZ..60 out of 100 and here's how he stacks up against rivals...

I'm thinking of building one of these with some scrap metal around the yard and unused fiberglass cloth and resin. We have an old Kenworth engine around in one of these sheds. 1986 vintage I believe.

More of a fun fact than a correction: "PS" is short for the german word "Pferdestärken", which is a 1:1 translation of Horsepower. Confusingly, the units are different, so 1HP is not 1PS. The difference is minimal though, it's about 0.5W. Both units originated by measuring how high a horse could lift a weight in one second (with a pulley system), and the difference happened because of the metric system used in continental Europe and the imperial system used in Britain and the US. So PS is not quite a European unit, the UK doesn't use it, it's a metric unit, albeit an outdated one.

They didn't have mass production for the body. Parts you can always make and almost standardize (they arent). The machine that forms the body does it almost like cnc and forms it to spec. So they would try different cars and then thought about standardizing select parts within to make it more affordable and less time to make. "Standardize the train" or part of it. The car company was built around that custom carbon fiber tech.
