the F430 is my absolutly dream car i work every day as hard as i can to have the possibility to one day drive one of these italian Beauties

Man, i am feeling nostalgic right now. i remember when I was a child, my parents bought me a Ferrari f430 RC car for my tenth birthday in 2005.

"They left the automatic ac, power mirrors and power windows but they removed power seats." All of that weighs less than the manual version and power windows are safer than manual ones. This was supposed to be a track version of the F430. You're not going to adjust your seating position twenty times during the day. A radio and speakers on the other hand, a thing you complained about because it's missing, are much heavier than all that combined.

I like my music but if I had a Ferrari all I would need to do is roll my windows down and let the roar of the engine be my music.

You have to remember, when you're saving weight (by taking out the car radio/head unit) it's not just the weight of the radio/head unit, it's also all the wiring as well as all the speakers and all together, depending on how many speakers come with the standard car (and whether it has a dedicated amplifier and/or subwoofer), that really can easily add up to 20 KG. Obviously, the F430 Scuderia is a track day car, so to purchase this car for "every day driving" and going to the store, dropping the kids off at school etc. Would not be very "practical". The F430 Scuderia or "Ferrari 430 Scuderia" is for serious driving/racing, if you want a Ferrari to just casually drive around in and use all the modern "gadgets" everybody is used to (Air-Con, Audio Player/System, Electric Seats etc.) Then to buy a car that's been lightened for the very purpose of making it faster (racing) and to expect it to be more luxurious and have more "gadgets" (because of the price increase, sometimes hundreds of thousands of Dollars more) really would be unrealistic and people should really check what these cars are made for first, before buying one, as they are usually more powerful, a LOT less comfortable and they contain a lot less modern-day "comforts" (gadgets/tech).

I must admit... it is a very handsome car... probably because it's painted black. Addressing manually operated seats: that's never really been a big deal to me. When you think about it, how often are you gonna change the seating position once you get it where you want it and you're more than likely the only one that's driving it anyway?

No matter how much weight you are trying to save, never remove the A/C or the radio. Those are two things that I could never live without.

I just drove one of these. (An hour ago) It’s such a livable car it’s just perfect.. it’s only 500hp but the weight and the RPMs you have to work with are just a great combination to make a very ruthless weapon if you need it. If I could afford one I would certainly buy it. It’s not scary, well composed and just a hint of psychotic. It’s there if you want to use it but very well composed. You have a bit of a blind spot but just be mindful. It is what it is at this point. Lol. Was a blast to drive and I just wish I had some mountain roads Togo canyon carving but I’ll settle for a mix drive of country side and city excitement with a splash of highway blasts. 😎😎

Never forget the first time I heard one of these things fire up in a friends garage. Wow. And boy is it quick. Out of my price range sadly. but I'd get one in a heartbeat over any of days toys in the same price range.

Great video, but you forget to mention few very important facts: 1. This is the last Ferrari with the involvement of certain Mr. Schumacher in the development (hence the button to soften the suspension independently of the driving mode); 2. Rims and bolts (Titanium, check the weight); 3. Brakes (carbon ceramics); 4. Repositioning of the exhausts (to get the diffusor of proper size to enhance the downforce generated by the totally flat bottom of the car). There is more to the differences to the regular F430, but let's stop here. As I am the owner of an example from new, I can't agree more with your driving experience. It is really the best weekend&trackday toy and a mess to take to the supermarket. And, after 12 years of ownership, I would easily score mine 10 on reliability. No problems whatsoever. Thank you for the info about missing "F"; never noticed this before.
