Hey Doug, the silver plate you took out of the champagne holder in the back seats is to be put below the chilled champagne bottle on the carpet floor. There is a magnet hidden under the carpet that ensures it’s perfectly placed and remains that way. Then the condensate of your bottles exterior has a silver plate to drip onto instead of making the rug soggy. THAT is attention to detail indeed.

Now here's my Jeff Score of Doug's performance... In the weekend category Doug seems fun, but seems like he'd ask a lot of dumb questions, scoring him a 6 out of 10. In the Appearance Category Doug is a tall, strangely attractive man, but needs to stop wearing shirts over shirts according him a 3 out of 10 In the exclusivity category Doug's a one of a kind, and really takes the time to explain what he likes, and doesn't like, scoring him an 8 out of 10. For a total Jeff score of 17, putting him somewhere between my crazy ex wife, and Drugged out Ozzy Osbourne.

Ironically the Maybach is now an ultra-upscale luxury trim for the S-Class.

This car is not made for the driver, but the passenger in the back. that's why it doesn't feel so different from an S class. Ask the guy in the back and says differently.

I know that I am a bit late here, but such a video never gets old. Well, it's the emblem that justifies the extra price; the status that this emblem gives to the owner justifies such a big difference in price between it and just a regular S-class, which is a lot of a car for the money, indeed. Thanks, Doug, and THIS is a good video that I watched several times :).

My 1991 Mazda 929 had a solar powered sunroof that was also used to power the AC maintain the temperature inside the car and trickled energy into the battery to avoid a flat battery so long as it is parked outside... 1991... We had a terrible hail storm in Sydney in 1997 and it damaged the 929 but specifically it cracked the Solar Power Sun Roof, it was insured so we didn't mind, the replacement sunroof imported from Japan cost $10k... $10k for a sunroof... Just insane.

A lot of the technology in this car is really damn impressive for a car made in 2006. Mercedes is truly always ahead the curve.

First and last time I saw a Maybach was in 2004 when Celene Dion "was being driven". The car pulled up to the guard gate where I was working and, recognizing her I opened the gate. She then went to her guard gated (yes) compound.

On October 3, 2019 this car will be free based on it's previous rate of depreciation. That's a hell of a deal!
