@@Kodsmed Only by accident (this time around). Doc was the first to do something _on purpose._ That said... yeah, they're both guilty of escalating things quite a bit. For anybody who hasn't gotten the full story: 1. Grian and Scar (primarily Scar) blow up Doc's tunnel bore, purely by accident. It completely terrifies them, they try to repair it, and leave Doc an apology and a bunch of gifts (including a dragon egg) to try to make up for it. 2. Doc retaliates, again primarily against Scar. He messes with Grian's portal a bit, and then builds a massive explody-wither-skull-capturing device and leaves a bunch of them floating over Scarland. Grian sees the device and is seriously impressed. 3. Grian is approached by Zed for a dragon egg. To make Zed work for it, he leads Zed on a scavenger hunt, part of which requires Zed to blow up a single TNT in a relatively-unused part of Doc's base. It's a test of bravery, because, "I've done it... and it scared the hell out of me." It's worth noting that this part of Doc's base has no redstone that was damaged... just a small piece of plain wall and floor. 4. Doc learns about this from Zed's video, and decides to escalate things. He uses Grian's desire to get Mumbo's purple crown and become Mumbo's best friend against him, leaving a purple crown on a hidden device that blew up Mumbo's entire front door... including the redstone. The messages were, "There can only be one (best friend)," and then after the door is blown up, he gets a second message, "...and it isn't you." 5. Grian, who's on a tight time schedule at the time, can't fix the door, so he just leaves Mumbo a note. Upon discovering that it was Doc (thanks to Doc always building his redstone on diamond ore), he's inscensed about Doc blowing up Mumbo's front door through him... and he's also impressed that Doc can apparently phase TNT through solid ground. He decides to get Scar in on his revenge, mostly because of the door, but also, "there's a small part of me... maybe a big part... that just wants to see what happens when you _really_ poke the goat." He and Scar retaliate by setting up egg dispensers (with chickens laying a never-ending supply of eggs) in the perimeter. Grian acknowleges that this is overkill, but he doesn't have time to set up something more time-consuming. 6. Doc comes on to find 10000+ chickens in the perimeter. After spending 10 hours clearing them all out (and rehoming lots of them to Grian's base), and after a chicken winds up in the chunk loader and interferes with the dragon, causing him to lose more hours fixing the dragon, he gets Ren into this scheme to carpet Grian's, Scar's, and even Mumbo's bases with dragon eggs. ... and that's where we are now.

​@@Katerine459I think the reason doc got grian to blow up a piece of tnt at the front of mumbos base wasn't just because grian got zedaph to blow one up in his base but also because doc hadn't really had any revenge on grian for the tunnel bore Incident (as grian was partly at fault) other than breaking his nether portal which could just be lit again. What doc didn't realise was that grian really doesn't like it when people mess with his and mumbo's friendship so what actually seemed like a harmless prank to doc was actually not quite so harmless to grian. But I think grian's chicken prank was a bit extreme especially as it took 10 hours to clean up so I think the dragon egg prank was fairly justified. Also if some people think doc shouldn't of got annoyed at his tunnel bore being blown up as it was an accident and they were sorry I think doc just wanted to have some fun and scare scar with the withers skulls which could actually be removed fairly easily and as I mentioned I dont think doc realised how much it would mean to grian blowing up mumbos door and the prank was meant to be harmless and just a joke. Also doc just wanted to warn them not to mess with him and to be more careful in future and he wanted to teach them that there will be consequences so they shouldn't poke the goat but this obviously backfired and grian takes it as an invitation to really poke the goat which is what has led to these events.

​@@Katerine459 1-2 You don't accidently fiddle with something you don't understand how it works. Yes the explosion of the tbm was an accident, fiddling with it in the first place was not. Hours of repair work needed. Relighting portal...1 second Pushing skulls into blocks... 20-30min ? 3-4 roughly equal damage, but again Grian was the instigator. 5-6. Causing 12 hours of fixing plus risking crashing the server fully knowing he be away during the fallout. 5.5 Building inside other peoples staked out areas... This is the first Doc retaliation that will take serious time to fix. And thats where we are now.

This is the only thing that I dislike. Pranks and all are fun but I find issues that involve the external factors are mean. It's not like cleaning this isn't going to be annoying either way..

@@japbstudios Jesus Christ, pull the stick out of your ass. PS2 and OG Xbox being the last console generation that had WIRED controllers as standard hence the not plugged in part. Growing up in the age before internet gaming was a thing and most games were not multiplayer hence the giving a younger sibling the unplugged wired controller so they think they are playing a single player game that they have no possible way of playing with you but your parents who don't know better insist you let them play with you. It's a REFERENCE because to people who have been there, it refers to the shared memory we all have of those situations. Exactly what I was thinking! (Or Scar could just persuade Mumbo to switch to bedrock lol)

My first thought is to ask about calibrated sculk sensors. I don't know if there's a setting for them that would have them listen for only piston noises, but that could really be invisible since the sensors could be buried several blocks under the pathway. There would be no visible change to the pathway on top, but they'd still be able to generate a signal as the machine moves and then send the signal off to the side to set off the hidden firework dispensers. I also wondered as I read "hidden observers" how it could even be possible to hide them. But I was thinking in terms of carpets like how dispensers can be hidden in a floor. I suppose... stairs? If there was some sort of structure right up along the edge of the line where the machine's "feet" will step and if those feet have stair blocks that will turn the path lining blocks into corners as they step next to them... Observers should be able to detect that, right? It's a lot of visible changes to the scenery that's already in place though.

@@MuljoStpho scull sensors calibrated to pistons would fire early as the whole machine is pistons. If you had moss carpets (I don’t know about normal carpets) they would break when stepped on. You could also have leaves and those’ll send a signal when updated. Also there could simply be a timer line that follows the machine and acts independently, but the starts are synced.

With the sculk sensor idea though: 1) bury them far enough underground that the 2-3 blocks of space above the path are just barely within range? 2) place wool blocks around sensors so that sounds that aren't directly above them get blocked? (I think that's been a key component for Tango with the Clank (I think it's Clank I'm thinking of, not Hazard) detection in Decked Out 2. Wool helps isolate each sensor and it shapes the area that they're listening to.)
