Only bad thing I'm in Westchester and the policy for the driver is a million the drivers insurance company is a good one forgot the name? I think it's Hartford, the drivers car was totalled and they paid me for mine. What are chances of getting a decent settlement. They did take full responsibility. A tow truck driver took off with no warning, the vehicle on the truck bed was my car which had the driver door open. The door hit me as he took off slamming me into the ground. I was a pedestrian. Not in NY but was rear ended in March, damaged my existing cervical fusion, had surgery this week to replace it and add another level, our private health insurance will pay it all but will State farm take most of it for re-imbursement or possibly not? Where did this happen ? From what you described in NYC I think a case like that can be worth $250k and higher. If you have the spinal surgery then the amount goes into the millions.
