They have recently done 2 more versions of this track during the pandemic, both with 2 female vocalists in the lineup (Hester Goodman is back and joins Leisa Rae in the duet part) one version is in the pay for view world service vids on their website (Ben covering for Jonty on bass, due to travel restrictions), the other rendition is part of their series of Lockdown videos filmed in individual isolation, but only released as an extra last (14th) track in the San Francisco Performances Pivot Festival collection of their lockdown videos ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aA-OnKi93Bg.html

Yes, I think the comedy is just a device to allow the band to get people to listen to some of the most subversive reinterpetations I have ever heard. Even the ukeleles are really not necessary. Their version of Psycho Killer for instance is so much edgier than the original and their version of Kraftwerk's Das Model is much more interesting than Kraftwerk's. (I'll go and hide from the Talking Heads and Kraftwerk fans now)

Why do they giggle? This was strong, powerful. And I was thinking that Kitty was providing the counter point. She is still there.

I saw a similar thing when Jake Shimabukuro said he was going to play Bohemian Rhapsody on the ukelele at a TED talk at Longbeach California. A lot of giggles went round the hall. Then he absolutely blew them all away and got a standing ovation at the end,

Yes, me too. Mich freuen die Algorithmen auch stetsy obwohl ich sie noch nie verstanden habe und eigentlich auch hasse, aber so langsam wird's. George is taking a well-earned break. Hester rejoined them at The Wycombe Swan Theatre last night. This sounded even better with a more balanced line-up of two women and six men. That is not to decry the skills of those not there or left out, but it just worked so well. It was a fantastic evening.

One of my absolute favorites. Saw them in Uppsala Sweden and Helsinki and Tampere Finland a couple of years ago. Great performancies, they made me form my own ukeorchestra. Check Grus Ukulele if Your intrested. Cheers from Finland.

Saw them live in Munich - every year there at carneval time. They are brilliant and hilarious - musicians and comedians as well. For the bonuses they left the stage, than came back telling us :" We didn't found the door....." 🤣
