@@mobomba6206no. Green pulled away at 25-30 yards. And like they mentioned the year before they had just ran a long race prior to them facing off in the 100m that walker beat green in.
@TA152H01 U clearly don't know what your talking about. Herschel Walker was blazing fast. And Darrell Green was the fastest guy in the NFL faster than Bo and Deion.
He beat Green in the 100 like a year or so before this race. Tbh, Green underestimated Walker's foot speed in that race. As you can see, in this race, Green understood how fast Walker was, and he didn't underestimate him. The way this race was going, Green would've opened up the gap if they would've kept going through to the 100 mark, because he was already pulling away from Walker.
@@finnfinn7703He sure did lose to many people but he also beat those same people multiple times also. Even the greatest sprinters take their lumps quite often. I remember he won the NFL Fastest Man contest each and every time he entered..86, 88, 89 and 91 and he beat Willie Gault in those events so not sure what your point is.
@@dmvbay2535 Point is he could win at 60 yards whatever he ran the hundred yard orhundred meters he lost to future or current NFL players every time. There are people on these posts that actually say Darrell Green could’ve ran at the Olympics. He couldn’t even make the top five of the NCAA he was never Top 10 ranked in the USA.
@@finnfinn7703He never focused on sprinting as an Olympic dream as some of these other dudes. He was a football player who ran fast track times as opposed to a track dude who plays football. Got it? I think he beat Gault and Brown multiple times in the 60 cuz his natural competitor instinct as a cornerback dictated that he would dominate regardless if it was 60 or 100m. He prepared for them one on one and dominated them. He got better as he aged and it showed on the field. Where else could you find anyone at age 35-40 still running 4.2 sec 40s??? I could give a fly fork if he was ranked 1, 5 or 500 in USA at any given point in time. Put him up against any athlete on the gridiron and he would run their asses down. There are certain types of athletes who could do what Green did, which is run or perfrom higher than expected when the stakes are high. Never put a limit on anyone, my guy. Never.
@@dmvbay2535 his limit, my dude is they beat his ass every time in the hundred he concentrated on it as far as his abilities would carry him. It wasn’t lack of interest. It was lack of talent he couldn’t Advance any farther. I’m talking true track and speed ability quit being a fan boy my man he never ran a four to when he was 40 newsflash. He didn’t do it when he was a rookie.
