Colton Herta has a scary moment as Will Power suddenly appears right in front of him on the apex of turn 1 during day 1 of the 2022 Indy 500 open test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway #Indycar #Herta #Indy500
Where is the YELLOW FLAG/LIGHT ?? He almost dead on the spot, right there. I didn't even see it at all, not sure how he can see it and has extremely quick reflect to avoid it.
@@LH-uh6bn the light is green and traveling at 230+ you have hardly any time to react. Also Scott just spun it around like 2 seconds before and 2 seconds isn’t that long.
Wow, that was amazing save. Avoiding hitting outside wall was vital for him together with evading standstill car. Gordon Smiley crash could've been replicated, though modern cars are much safer than in the eighties..
With how rigid the sidepods are now Herta would have probably been launched off of the side of Powers car head on or very near into the fence. Would not have been pretty.
@@anthonywebber8152 Mmm why exactly? you sre crazy if you think that the F1 cars have some kind of magic device to protect drivers from huge deceleration g-force and severe injuries to the legs, and spine which would be the result of a crash like this. Just 2 years ago a driver was killed and another suffered extremely serious injuries in a crash like this in a F2 race, which use a survival cell almost identical to the one used in F1
this guy is bored that F1 isnt on this weekend so he decided to come shit on a completely unrelated motorsport. do you do this to rally drivers too? and kids in karts? i dont think so
@@arconeagain I wouldn't know, there's never been an F1 race worth the 2hr time investment after the first turn probably since Indy stopped being an F1 race lol
Ok go watch your engineer parade time trials where the most exciting thing in the race after the first turn is some pass for 6th 57 laps in coming out of the pits lol
