Damn you for making an ACTUAL Heusinkveld Sim Ultimate+ review and not just an informercial like the shill sim racing channels. I’m likely not getting these anymore since you made some really good points about the pedal cons and good points about the competition

Great video. I have the sprints and will be waiting to see how the market shifts over the next couple years before I consider upgrading. Sprints work great for now and I agree the price maybe needs to drop some for the HE line now that there is more competition out there.

Good point about the price and competition. 150 EUR more expensive than fully cnc machined Simtrecs. 500 EUR more expensive than VRS pedals, which are smoother due to the use of ball bearings and clever pedal design which doesn't rely on rubber springs that wear out over time.

Nice review. I was personally hoping that the + version would have a much more silent damper. That's the only thing I don't like about my Ultimates. After seeing several of your videos, I feel like the upgrade kit is just not worth it for me, even though it's relatively cheap. I only use one setting for my pedals, so SmartControl is not really something I need (yet).

Thx to Seb for the translation. Knowing he is dutch... my laziness kicks in: not a word to add Sebastian. I bought the ultimate upgrade kit and that makes the set the best for the price. Looking at what the competition is doing with full hydraulic brakes and better CNC, I can only conclude that Heusinkveld really depends on their name and excellent service. Heusinkveld really has to come up with new, groundbreaking products if they want to be/remain future-proof. The handbrake, shifter and pedal sets are top-notch... but that's to be expected at this price. However, I feel like they're standing still a bit, which is regression. The software is of course good! but am also afraid that the competition will soon come up with something similar (and not get stuck in DIView) The famous H-pattern shifter, a new aluminum extrusion rig that can compete with Sim-lab or DIY, an affordable motion solution... I think that's where the gains can be made. ----- geen woord aan toe te voegen Sebastian. Ik heb de ultimate upgrade kit gekocht en dat maakt de set bij elkaar best aan de prijs. What pedals would you recommend for a stop gap set while waiting for VRS?

The input lag on the output you highlight on the throttle, is that something to be concerned about?

Great review. You go into the details, that those bigger mainstream channels just ignore. They are just informercials. I think these are dated now and overpriced. The VRS seems to have a much better braking system with its cam design. The rubber stacks system lacks tactile feel, I was never happy with the sprints. They did the job but not worth the hype or money these days imo.

Im sorry if its a stupid question. But what did u mean with that it looks like there is input lag when you press the throttle? Is there input lag in the pedals? :O

I agree with your comment that Heusinkveld is pricing themselves out of the market. I wanted these until I did more research, the VRS pedals seem better and cost $400 less. I’m also intrigued by the Asetek SimSports pedals coming out soon, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on those. Real hydraulic pedal feel for about the same cost as VRS
