This game brought something back I haven’t experienced since Jet Set Radio Future… This was an absolute banger of a game. Nine Inch Nails as a boss theme? Like, what?! This was an experience.
You can call me a boomer or anything but I'm gonna say it. They don't make videogames like they used to, Hi Fi Rush is the definitive proof. Sequels, Prequels, safe, copy pasted gameplay visuals and music stain the videogame industry. Hi Fi Rush said fuck to all of that and followed each principle to make an actual good fkn game. Each pillar of this game is meticolously worked through to be in perfect synergy with the rest of the game. Studio Tango took a risk and they created art in it's purest form in a world where monetization not only takes priority (as it should) but completely snuffs out anything remotely innovative.
Games like this have already been made they just go under the radar for some reason. Like NSR, which is honestly better than this game even though I enjoy this one a lot.
I love this whole song, but there’s something about the sheer simplicity of the melody at 4:53 that echoes infinitely in my head that’s just so good This single melody represents the whole game for me
I think a lot of the melodies in the game are if not the same, similar to this, so that may be a reason, and it's honestly so great, makes the game even better for me
Where did the big bad Sony touch you man? Get fixated on any one platform and you're gonna miss out on great games period. Wish more people would let that sink in.

I love PlayStation and Xbox, but it's no secret Microsoft exclusives have been lacking for years now so for them to put out something that utterly decimated a PlayStation console exclusive is a surprising turn of events. Also like I said, I love PlayStation, so there is no bias at play whatsoever when I say that I think Forspoken is complete dogshit.
@@CinosTheHedgehog2000 They would probably never let any kind of "Indie game" on the list, like pizza tower, which went through years of development and testing compared to something like say Pokemon, which can't even add ACTUAL MOVING VIDEOS ON A DAMN TV like Hi-Fi Rush did in it's levels. I'd like to think TGA is just biased against indie companies.

Hi Fi Rush is just "good vibes" the game. Very rare that I find myself smiling when playing a game from start to finish. But I was having a great time with this gem.
It's a real feat how this track and a 20 second introductory fight managed to suck me into the game more thoroughly than some AAA titles manage in their entire playtime. This may become one of my favorite games ever.

Funny how the very first level of the game is, at the end, still my favorite regarding visuals and music. They made one heck of an entrance and I was HOOKED the second Chai shot up overlooking the campus. Amazing feeling, got chills!
3:43 is some of the most positive emotionally intense music I've ever heard in my life. The way that it loops in the menu is like a capsule of the most perfect segment of the song; it screams to be free; airy, upbeat and pure unadulterated joy. It makes me feel completely undefeatable, no obstacle tall enough for me to just not float over or rock straight through. It's everything Chai thinks when he thinks of himself; "You ARE a rockstar."
The fact that this game under performed sales wise is a goddamn Atrocity. It's such a refrechange of pace on so many levels. My only regret is waiting as long as I did to play it. And I hope that this becomes a cult classic on the level of metal gear rising revengeance or Crypt of the necrodancer which it clearly took some inspiration from.
This music makes me remember the old times when I was playing on ps2 in my room while a yellowish sunlight beam was lighting my room through a window….gosh I miss the old days
Companies really need to follow the 80-20 rule. 80% work and leave 20% for the same people to work on side projects with pashion no deadlines, you'd be suprised at how better things would be.
This gives me flashbacks to Viewtiful Joe, Gitaroo Man, Jet Set Radio, and Future Tactics the Uprising. The fact this track sounds like the Mark Menza DBZ movie intro is a bonus.

Mannn! this game is so awesome! one of the most awesome and fun games ever to come out in 2023 that came out of no where that even Has art styles making this game look like it's a 2000s cartoon game.
Started this last night. Got to Zano (in the volcano) and I'm enjoying it. Wish it was more fast paced and you ran a little faster but maybe they'll add more faster paced music later...? Lol
Yeah data mine the steam release more then likely. I'm sure eventually they'll release the album if more then enough people want it. Minus or maybe with the real life tracks from other artist.
Talk about an opener. Hearing this song for the first time told me I was in for something special. And listening to it again just reminds me of how special this game was.
