This shit still go hard in 2022! RIP Tony and Roderick! Thanks to all of you (Members of Hi-Five) for blessing us with this timeless record! God Bless!
When you see the World Trade Centers now and see them from 1992, 30 years later its like no one knew what was comming , life is so crazy, short, cherish the people and time we have. This song speaks of that nostalgic early 1990s.
@@rudeboyrg Too bad I didn't get the chance to visit the original WTC, but I was too young at the time when this song was released! But that didn't prevent me to visit NYC in May 2009 with some of my older sisters! And it was a great birthday present, because I went to the Big Apple just in time for my 22nd Birthday!
Straight new jack era! Good memeries, wearing cross colors, starter jackets, flat tops, baggy clothes, going to neighborhood house parties, and everybody danced back then. Good times!!!
Yes, I was there when it all started, began as a metalheads but quickly changed when snoop, ll cool j, nwa n then all the bubble gum groups came out then at 15 fell in love with nkotb lmfao
Makes me really miss the high school days and growing up in the 80’s and 90’s! Fun times but I surely took them for granted. We need a serious R&B resurgence.
1979 baby right here! I consider myself fortunate because I can jam to not just this timeless joint, but the whole Keep It Goin' On Album! That Album is an old school Classic to my ears! The 90's was a special time!
Pooooor men.... One is paralyzed in a wheel chair, Tony's dead, One is in jail for murder... the dark skinned guy and Marcus are holding onto music with new members. May God touch these men. LOVE their music. VB
I don’t think there will ever be an era in music like the 90s. Every genre of music I had so many unique sounds and style. Definitely didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have at the time
2021 baby. These are the songs we used to mime to in the early nineties at school variety shows. Yes guys, your influence reached as far as Zambia Africa.
I just love listening to my uncle music I can always hear him singing in my sleep his voice was so amazing I miss my uncle Anthony AKA lil Tony I just wish he could come back I just wish the drugs wouldn't have fucked him up so bad I miss seeing him drive into trendwood just to stop by granny house which is his mother to talk to us R.I.P uncle Tony You are still missed
I, 'AGREE'!! I'm a FAN, and I 'MISS' his VOICE, TOO!! Tony's MUSIC will LIVE ON, FOREVER!! He has TALENT!! REST IN 'PEACE', Mr. Tony Thompson. AMEN. ⛪⛪
Automatically takes me back to age 14-late summer 92. White kid in love with rap and rnb. My life was sports, girls and friends. Miss those days. RIP to Tony Thompson and Roderick. This group has experienced a lot of tradegy but they’ve provided the world with great music
Ahhhh, this was my jam for all my crushes between 1992-1997 🤣🤣 I miss you all & you're in my diaries forever 😆 (Those dance moves, woooo! Knew them all, might twist a knee now though 😄) #Ms90sJams 💃💖
@@missj3434 hehe for real though! *when you use a song for more than 1 crush, cos they're all that "special guy" * 🤣😏 I just Googled what you wrote, Roderick passed away this weekend?! Dayummm. Tony was my fave. So sad that two of them are gone, and so young!! RIH both Pooh & Tony. TG #MusicIsForever🎶💖
Song begins on a sunny day , brothers styled in New Jack swing, World Trade standing strong and tall, music harmonious presenting a divinity energy...im bout to be 37 and the more i look back at those days it makes me sad almost like the 90s decade was something i lived in a past lifetime
Tony Thompson Rest in Peace my man which is my favorite member from Hi-Five and you'll never be forgotten love you man☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was laying down trying to watch this video and had to get my ass up and dance. Took me right on back to '92. Hunnie I was living for this song back in the day.
We were sooo fortunate to see them perform in Amarillo. They were amazing! Such beautiful memories during that concert. I was sooo crushed to hear about what happened to Tony. Then l hear about them losing Roderick this yr. :'( I'll always be grateful to them for coming to our small town & putting joy in our hearts. Love Hi 5 Always.. RIP†💔🙏🏽💐
😂😂😂😂 and yes they were 😂😂 #90RnBForever lets make this trend bc it's the truth. We had the best music dances clothes everything. These gen z kids don't know real music. They like mumble rap...enough said
Rip Tony ❤️ Thompson and Pooh had to get up this morning and see this video had this song stuck in my head love me some hi five Tony Thompson and Pooh truly missed
I love the R and B music of the 80s and 90s, the quality is 100% better than the crap I am hearing now, the music was back then was more meaningful and soulful
A big hit in South Africa 🇿🇦 back in the 90s. And still today. These groups had a big influence in the way you dressed for a nite out... Those funky waistcoats.......
My favorite single of there's. I wish Toriano was still in the group for this, could imagine him singing all the low harmonies throughout the song and the drive. RIP Tony & Pooh.
Still one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time! I have the song, but checked in to see the video I have not watched in over 20 years!! Everyone looks so young. Who knew back then that this song would be legendary??? Thank you Hi-Five 🎶❤
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hi-Five. .. I was a little girl lookin up to my big sister who was in her boy band craze. GREAT group of talented young men. Whether y'all EVER perform again (ALTHOUGH I HOPE you do ). Just know you guys made a iconic mark in R&B. #R.I.P TONY (with that cute baby face ) and Pooh... continue to sing in HEAVEN # God Bless
My favourite R&b group of the 90's. So young and talented, it's tragic what happened to Hi5..thank you for the memories, you made my teenage years so pleasurable. I think I have heard this song at least 2000 times.
theres two different melodies running on this song here one is cold and the other is hot its very fire. even the beat is created entirely to embody the concept. artistic masterpiece at its finest.
Mariam Ayub. My sister thats a under statement. Remember the jams pure Magic.I LOVE ITCAND MISS IT SO BADLY.ITS ALL I JAM TO KNOW.CAUSE IVE GOT OLD SKOOL VALUES
I'm in my 60s now and have always prided myself in appreciating all kinds and eras of music throughout life and some slightly before my time. There's always some I listen to more than others, and I definitely always find my way back to stuff like this regularly. When this video opens and you see the original World Trade Center, it definitely hits you a certain way. Great song and group, sad as I am that some of their futures couldn't have been better.
