1:16 I lived in one of those apartments for a year during 2008/2009. I have photos looking down at that fire post, but never knew what it actually was.

There is an ornate old fountain (With a Lion's head) buried in the beach next to the pool, which they sometimes dig up and allow people to see it.

Where the lady is talking at 8m:25s standing on the beach, The fresh water flowing down the beach is coming from the fountain you mention, It is buried in the sand but the water still flows

I believe they were put in a few years back to make a safe haven for crabs etc so school kids etc could go for school visits, It never really took off
