@@denifiransyahthat makes a lot of sense actually, I’ve always wondered why laggy UI still exists today, but the benefits of prioritizing battery life over an unnecessary performance boost for the UI makes sense
@@hyposlasher the fuck does that even mean? PC Gamers exist cause all we care about is smooth gameplay? Are you implying that console gamers care about smoothness only? Huuuuh?
If you're ever wondering if you could ever make it as a RU-vidr, just remember that Austin just made over your week's worth of wages in about thirty seconds telling you shit that you already knew. Literally the most overpaid profession for the most overpriced people.
HIDDEN SECRETS OF THE NEW OLED STEAM DECK: 1. The carrying case has a special pouch 2. You can turn on 90hz, one of the selling points of the upgrade. 3. You can turn the brightness up. I’m losing faith guys… Edit: im not even going to lie, after watching for 4-5 years I unsubbed after this
Ah yes… hidden features… HDR - which has been one of the most advertised things about the refresh, 90hz screen - a main menu option that is almost impossible not to find, and a smaller carry case inside the regular case - which every single review has shown as they all have the top spec review unit… hidden features indeed. Come on guys… you’re better than this…
@@flarkjohnson6785bro fr all these little babys complaining about stupid shit. Maybe go make some money and buy one for yourself and then give your opinion. Bunch of keyboard warriors.
I've has my SD for about 3 months, and in the beginning of the video I thought you were just ripping out the soft shell case, I didn't realize it was a 2-in-1 case combo, that's super cool.
hes farming content thats the problem with big channels there content goes down and they get lazier ltt and austin are just advertisement channels now meanwhile fan the deck has weekly news segments covering everything going on in steamdeck rog ally and all the other portables including new game releases
@MANISHxyz. A good rule of thumb: if it was made before 2019-2020, I think the steam deck can probably run it flawlessly. Newer games might either not be able to run (like, brand new stuff) or can run with lots of adjustments to the settings. It's a mini computer though so it could run 95% of what I play.
I know it sounds weird but, this is the first video that shows me how bright and beautiful that screen truly is. Someone holding it up in a well lit studio and bright background, I think you’d normally see the old steam deck be overtaken and washed out in that scenario.
I just bought the switch oled last month. As a casual, I just enjoy gaming on a great display. Also zelda. Two factors that drove me away from the steam deck is its battery and lcd display. And when this came out, the entire breath that I sighed could fill up an entire balloon, damn.
Eh just carry battery pack, I take my steam deck to work and other place. Mostly play at home the battery last pretty long even with high games like arne core 6, star field, cyber punk etc that I played so fair recently
The battery life and price is what lets it down mostly, the screen is just like the switch so nothing there, but the fact the steam deck is only meant for personal use mostly unless you buy the extra stuff which the switch beats it at in terms of price and sharing. I still would prefer the switch over the steam deck. And tbh the steam deck looks uncomfortable for me to hold
I don't think they will initially cause they will want the lowest cost option on the market the quickest don't forget the Switch OLED is like $50 more than a regular unit. I don't foresee an LCD 7" screen part being cheaper than an OLED screen part by 2024-2025 enough to justify having it at launch from a business standpoint
@@Jontexperia I think i had Fsr 2.0 on quality settings with lower graphical settings and it looked decent. I might have raised certain settings like textures higher tho. I cant fully remember the settings but i know i had it looking decent and at a pretty locked 30 fps at 8 watts. Just tinker with the settings abit until it's good for you. If i can get it to work at 8 watts then you should be able to as well even if you have to increase wattage a bit more.
@@RJH755 thats not a good idea, native res on a display still looks better. try to lower ur res on a 4k display to 1080p, vs a 1440p display with 1080p res. the 1400p panel will look better. the difference between a 1920x1200 vs 1280x800 is not a huge difference but still an issue ppl have to go through & tinker with settings, many dont have the problem, but thats not the average joe player. Also 800p vs 1200p (or if 16:9 1080p) u wont notice that much difference on that small screen anyway - resolution isnt everything & ppl forget that PPI exists - but i understand the ppl are dissappointed why they didnt slapped a 4k display on it, who else putting their eyeballs into the screen to count individual pixels
@user-uu9up5fe5t ppi is everything the greater the ppi the better the image, at regularly viewing angle which is about a foot form your face, you most definitely telling the difference between 1200 x 800p and 1920 x 1080p display, except you trying to tell me you play your handhelds like 6feet from your face
There is another cool steam deck feature. Called SBC XQ basically it increases the bitrate for every headphone that only comes with the SBC codec ( which is every headphone ). And brings it on paar or even better than aptx
I see a lot of haters but honestly, I didn't even know about the smaller pouch or many of these features but learned thanks to this popping up in my feed. Thanks for the tips :)
