Hi. I really appreciate your video. I got mine 11-11. Is there any way of knowing which version I have? Can you clarify the differences a little more? I think it's important for this particular iem because it was so well reviewed! Thank you for identifying the differences! Maybe this will prevent companies from doing this especially if 90% of the mp-145s out there are the 2nd version!
bait and switch is a huge no no. This could kill the company. This is like changing the motor and tranny in a car from highly tuned to downtuned, without telling anyone.
When companies do this I can never trust them again. It's the most senseless shooting themselves in the foot that boggles the mind. KZ has also done this crap. You buy based on charts and reviewer feedback, only to receive something nothing like you expected. Not only does it hurt the company's reputation, but also the reviewer who had nothing to do with it.
Hidizs fukked up the marketing on this set and now they borked the tuning, are you sure KZ didn’t buy out Hidizs..lol😂. That really sux because I was getting ready to buy a set. Thank you for the heads up Micheal.
here's what they'll say: "We made small incremental improvements to the driver housing, and internal testing does not show any change to the sound quality at all. How are you measuring this?"
while this is concerning, are there any more examples of this? Or could this just be the case of unit variation/ bad QC? the HIDIZS rep on discord said that there were no tuning changes made, so I wonder how widespread this problem really is. I think tis a bit unfair to immediately start saying "fuck you hidizs" without measuring more units first.
Well as I heard, pre-production units were sent to reviewers to review which appear to be tuned differently, so it is not nice, why certain models have black resonance chamber with no pins and other white resonance chamber with pins? This is already a revision, my copy also has a white resonance chamber with pins. Well it might be that pre-production units weren't their final tuning, so then yes, we can say that nothing was changed, production started with updated tuning and nothing has changed since.
So, yes I had a ton of people ask Hidizs directly what the deal is. I do actually believe they didn't change the tuning at this point.. HOWEVER, if their stated 2-4DB match is what we get, thats not going to cut it. I actually think that review sets were selected by hand since they came in without retail boxing and cables and such.
Thnx for the heads up. We all should make complaints to the manufacturer. I already did it. But more ppl make complaints more powerful msg gets through.
Thnx for the info, I was about to pull the trigger on these after the good reviews it had. I'd have thought these companies would of learnt a lesson after the KZ backlash, lets see what story they come up with.
This is common in chifi I guess..always first batch is good may be to catch subsequent flood of orders. I had same experience with Tanya bought 1 year later the 2nd one is like free earbud sounding pretty bad but I bought it for the filters so no regrets ha ha.
@@MichaelBruceTaosseems like they generated hype through good early sets and cheap Kickstarter pricing, oh and I think there was some scummy review stuff too if memory serves. I too was going to get a set, glad I stuck with Glamdring.
Is it possible that reviewers are getting played? They get sent something to review/crawl up the ass of, then the companies release something only vaguely resembling the review units in order to score those sweet, sweet recos?
I think so too. They make a certain number, say 100-200, hand built, then with the real production run of several thousand they change materials (which changes the sound) to fit the factory assembly method.
@@larrydunn4626 That's "even better" if that's the case. Man, I'm really starting to feel like it's really hard to put your trust into anything in this day and age. Am I old? Is this already a new standard? I own EJ07M Kinda Lava which was a collab between Letshuoer and HBB and like em a lot. But HBB said in one of his older vids that the final pre-production unit was different from what came out eventually...
I guess what I don’t understand is why a company would risk a reputational hit like that. $200 isn’t even close to the most expensive set out there, but it’s not chicken feed either. To say nothing of how competitive that price point is. The logic of it eludes me.
@@BigSugar1078 I don't think it occurred to them that audiophiles would be so picky about that, and, probably more importantly, never thought somebody would open up the IEM to discover the change. Though after the KZ fiasco, you'd think no manufacturer would make changes without informing their buyers.
2nd Because our Mp145 is very popular in the world, we do not rule out the reverse excessive speculation of competitors, but after reading the announcement, you will understandg
If by YOUR you mean you are with Hidizs, very good. I am not working for any companies. The main problem, even if you didn't change the tuning is the QC is not acceptable for near $200. Clearly the units I received were not sounding or measuring the same.
It looks like it's up to mostly chance if you get a good one. Hidizs stated that 2-4DB match is their standard which also isn't going to cut it at this price.
3rd The company for more than 10 years of brand precipitation, good quality reputation, please rest assured that the majority of customers to buy the use
I was already sceptical because of their history of false price marketing with combination of over the top reviews based on pre release samples. This is the final nail to keep voting with my wallet.
Jus cca rhapsody. Also it akunded thinner in mid refion and less less treble and sounded like kz castor harman/none bass version .man wtf is Chinese people is thinking more amd mofe silent revision .
October 2024...still selling strongly, and getting great reviews. You got a dud, and fell into a hole. Everyone else is still enjoying them? What iems have you produced to compare to them? Take your bay and ball and go home. Classic hissy fit.
