I have a little girl who enjoys lobbing explosives and gossiping about stuff, and a Vanaran child who jumps up and down on school desks, sticks her nose in other peoples' business, whose father is an investigator. This is for a Magical Girl campaign I'm running in Pathfinder where the players are all teens. Also an aristocrastic boy from over 1000 years in the past who got time shifted and a super hero called Mister Justico who is a bit bumbling but takes to the idea of superpowered young girls running around and solving crimes. ...I have lots of characters in my campaigns. Something my players either love/hate. I did learn not to let the NPCs join in battles much (last time we had a guy join in and get his arm ripped off so that was fun~) and most of them are recurring, but since the game is set in a huge city where the girls go to school and play vigilante it's kinda necessary for a bunch of school mates to exist. I had fun with that~ But yeah, DMs have their faves.

Definitely an encounter with starbane but i dont think it will be another sundering. If you are referring to a battle against Starbane on aerois then that is possible, but i think they will learn of the threat after they take to the stars to find nova's home

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Sundering occur after Starbane’s invasion? I’m sure I heard Mark say that the Nature god (can’t remember his name) was angry that Ceasca was murdered and his anger caused the Sundering.

You are correct, disengage has no inherinte dash built in other wise it would be literally one the best moves. But I'm pretty sure Mark is ruling it that way. He said this campaign would have a fair amount of house rules and I tjink that is one of them to keep chase sequences more viable rather then them catching up once and the one being chased to be SOL.

@@000Dragon50000 that only makes a Rouge much stronger, cause according to these house rules, a first level Rounge can Disengage and get 90ft. away at first level which is insane. Mark needs to be happy that none of the party builds to exploit rules and have mega cheese characters that abuse rules

What is the point of dashing if you can move when you disengage?

Cure Wounds is a action spell. Healing Word is a bonus action spell. Maybe this is the factor in his choice.

Agree. They talk a long time and complicate things.

Pretty much sums up a common D&D problem. It's fun to try to figure out strategies but a plan doesn't survive the first encounter with the enemy. It's fine when it's about RP and showing what your character is about. Unfortunately a lot of time can be wasted debating actions that may not come to fruition.

I think it was Haste. Either way she should've only gotten one attack, otherwise it would be far too powerful even for a 3rd level spell. But that's why she was so fast, blurred a bit, and still had an action to attack with

Surprise rounds are incredibly helpful.

Agreesive interactions (aka grapples) end the spell I think. Let's not forget that, in terms of raw strength, only Sentry was there. It's possible Sanna also had strength, but she was clearly a monk so unless she was at the level where she can substitute strength for dexterity/wisdom (I can't remember which it was) then she won't really gain much millage out of a grapple unfortunatelly.

Tom gets Magic Missile through the Arcane Domain. The Healing Spirit was a mess up in the way I implemented Arcane Chromat in D&D Beyond and has been fixed. ;)

@@SherlockHulmes Oh, interesting. Sometimes I forget the SCAG stuff exists. By the way, there is healing spells for sorcerers and wizards. But the only way they can get them is through subclass features. Divine Magic Sorcerous origin from Xanathar's Guide gives you some healing spells, and in Xanathar's Lost Notes there's a wizard school that converts evocation spells into healing energy. Also, big fan #VODSquad

YouAreBatman Healing Spirit, eh? *DM who is way into making homebrew spells and stuff takes a deep breath* I mean, normally, HS isn’t too too powerful of a spell in combat because the players need to be constantly shifting their positions to use it effectively. Moving to and out of it can sap your movement in a big sprawling fight, and if you have enemies up on your players, they’re probably risking opportunity attacks to dash out and heal up. It’s also concentration, so as long as you keep track of that, any enemy who attacks the caster using it might cause it to drop. If your enemies are smart enough, they might target the person controlling it. Finally, HS has a bit of a design flaw out-of-combat, because the party can just play musical chairs with it to heal back to full, which is RAW but VERY MUCH not RAI. Designer Jeremy Crawford posted a hot-fix for it on Sage Advice, saying that the spell can only heal a number of times equal to twice the caster’s Spellcasting modifier. Personally, I just houserule it so that the spirit vanished if it senses that you aren’t in immediate danger/combat/etc, that way your players don’t have to track stuff.

It does slightly annoy me that Nova has the highest hp out of everyone, yet still acts like she's Lucius level squishy. I mean her AC is low and all, but sheesh. Maybe that's just an RP choice though.

@@Kerrigore2 probably, Trott and Kim are really good at the role playing aspects (not to say the others aren't because they are) and so I guess her playing a scaredy cat scholar makes sense.
