I’m no ballerina nor do i plan on becoming one, but I’ve always admired how you guys are flexible AND strong!!!! Definitely goals, will add these to my exercises lol

Watching this as I’m in bed about to go to sleep and didn’t realize I would hear the words PNF in this video lol! That’s a version of contract relax - a contraction of the antagonist muscle before stretching the agonist muscle. Haha! Helping me study. We have been going over this the last month in school. I used to use this for ballet but never knew it was called PNF. Wasn’t until I went to PTA school that I learned what it was and all the different kinds of techniques within PNF. Fun stuff :)

I am sooo incooperating this into my workout routine. Before that video I always did some Quad exercises not knowing if they would help. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Maybe in a few months my exentsions won't be the worst in class haha xx

Thank you SO much for talking about which muscles are working! My teachers always said "lift from your inner thighs" which frustrated me because I was thinking of the adductors and gracilis and was a) upset that I couldn't feel those muscles working and b) confused because it didn't seem like those muscles could possibly lift the leg front or side. I really appreciate this video!

My biggest problem is proper weight distribution through my feet and strength holding that, my pelvis wants to twist towards my standing leg when turned out and when trying to rise I tend to sickle or wing too much and can’t seem to get balance straight through, my standing hip also wants to turn in and I just keep falling out and can’t seem to get a proper position. What can I do for this?

I know it’s been a while, but i would recommend strengthening your feet and ankles and consistently working on proper technique during barre.
