People may not always agree this was the best movie in the series, but it sure has the most defining soundtrack! next to "Bonnie Portmore" of course which was used at least 3 times in the various movies/tv season finale's which you can still thankfully hear starting at 4:18 :D
Agreed! It did a good enough job of introducing some new ideas without going completely bonkers like the second whilst remaining true to the spirit of the original without simply rehashing it like the third. And it wasn't nearly as...erm...whatever the hell "Highlander: The Source" was! lol
The theatrical cut of this one was bad but the producers cut on dvd is great it has some issues it needed a little more character development of the gang that works for the villain an a few scenes from the workprint would have helped it a little like one extra character scene for one of the gang members that was in the workprint. Also in the workprint originally the fight between the two Duncan an Connor was before Kell killed his gang. In the workprint Kell decides to kill his gang to give him a bigger edge after he finds out Duncan has killed Connor.Only big problem with this entry was the repeat of the fight scene at the end it was quick but still stupid.Other then that this is easily a great film for the tv series universe the franchise could have easily ended here had they wanted it to just have Kell kill the other main tv series characters an have Duncan kill him an wrap it up.I have would have been fine with that an it would have prevented hopefully the Source film from happening. As is this is still a great film for tv series fans an has a good heart about it so that makes up for the little flaws. The villain isnt just a Kurgan rip off which I like.Highlander 2 was terrible but the Source was worse.Highlander 2 directors cut is watchable an passable but still not good.Highlander 3 wasnt terrible but wasnt good either it was all right average 9os action film.
This movie sucks. Just a meaningless sequel to the epic 1986 movie. The original film Highlander I is a thousand times better, with beginning and end in the same film. Connor Mcleod had already won the award by killing Kurgan, and the film is quite clear - only CONNOR and KURGAN remained among the immortals. The script and the entrance of this one Duncan Mcleod is a disrespect with the legacy and the history of the original film. Nor should have been sequenced. It was just to make more money. And there they did these shit (Highlander IV, III and II).
This was not a sequel. It is from series timeline... Different from movie timeline.. even first movie has 2 timelines. One followed by second movie and other followed by third movie which ignores "II"

And the saddest of sequels what a beautiful story don't let the negativity of the reviews for sway you it's a great movie Highlander has always had its inconsistencies but this movie is beautiful towards the end and tragic
Been a fan of Highlander for about 13 years now. Love this soundtrack, especially the acoustic version of "Killing an old friend" at 1:37. This is an awesome remix, for a very underrated soundtrack, even if the movie left much to be desired.
just looking at the freaking cover makes me want to watch the movie again . sure it wasnt as good as the first one but hell its way better then the source . they really should have made this one the end game and not make another one whit just adrian paul .for me the original story line end whit The end game
Endgame is a good movie not great but good.2 is only ok in the directors cut.The directors cut of 2 is a time waster.3 is an all right action flick.5 is utter trash .
@Mirdrac Unfortunately they did a spin-off with Amanda instead which introduced that cop Nick Wolf who became an immortal in the season finale. That was obvious they had planned to do another season- but the show ended up getting canceled due to bad ratings. It was just not the same without Adrian Paul.
Even though succesful in a way, still underrated. I disliked the part where there was like extraterrestrial stuff involved, but this movie and first movie are easy W. Lore and ost wise
well of course I know that now, I was just saying they might think of a way of having him as a character on the side, rather then the lead, you know, make him apart of the movies in the reboot without replacing Connor completely like they did with the TV series.
plz somebody upload legend of the immortals then. its impossible to find it in net. before utube i used to download whole movie just to listen to this part cheers
whats the name of the song that starts exactly at 0:54 im talkin about the instrumental tune the one that plays when connor is leaving heather to go see his mother i have checked and it isn't The legend of the Immortals can someone please tell me what its called?
@HnRZ where do youh ave the music from? Especially "The Legend of the Immortals" I cant find this track, Iam looking for this track for ages. please help me out!
There is an ending where she walks down some stairs (in a mall, I think) towards Duncan. I don't know how that makes sense. I guess Jacob missed her when he was on his killing spree. ;)
I saw the trailer for it before....it looked like it had the right actors from the tv series who where good....has for the story it seemed weak, especially the Villians acting!
@decimatedremains That movie was totally pointless in my opinion. It did not really seem to explain anything and just ruined the franchise worse than it already had been by all those sorry sequels. It seems like the first movie was the only one meant to be and the others were just crap to add more stories. The TV series was good although it should have been independent of the movies.
