I like seeing FairPlay and hes a good fighter. But the boxer been hurt before he took a knee he used his left one time since the first and that was in the last round and it was wraps they should run it back. Good fight
Dude clearly threw his shoulder out first round and still was fighting. Honestly if that didn’t happen FairPlay probably don’t make all 3 rounds because you can see the exact moment it happened and he stopped protecting himself.
Yeah, I think that wild left did it, and when he threw his next left, he knew for sure it was fucked. He hardly lifted it after that until round 3 heat of the moment left and it popped .. kind of crazy he went 2 and a half rounds with fairplay with (I think it's) his non-dominant hand. Dude never complained, or made excuses (at least not on video) we definitely need to see a rematch!
@@1337Swiper I doubt that, but it's possible... He should have ended the fight, but he probably traveled a good distance for the fight, so he refused to surrender. Hopefully he recovers to fight again.
@brody6634 Scarface said he had 50 pro fights in another state. That's a decent record. If I ripped my shoulder from overextending on fair play fresh off cycle, I'd retire. Is what I meant 😅😅
1:42 or 1:43 his shoulder went out. Really should have ended it there. He even took blows to the shoulder and kept goin. Absolutely gotta respect the heart. He needed to say something though to preserve his health. And, you figure Fairplay must have noticed something was up. Standing across from someone you notice a change in them like that. For it to go out like that there HAD to be preexisting injuries to that arm. Maybe even why his record was good numbers in amateur and never went pro. Mad respect to both.
@@xyba6072 After reviewing, my time stamps are off. It's the looping left after then. He stops using that arm like entirely. And goes from schooling Fairplay with clean check hooks to gettin pieced up himself. And, at the end when they go to raise his hand he doesn't even get it hardly above his head before retracting in pain. I've seen shoulders go out exactly like that.
@@K0nc3pt10n That's a facts sandwich. Shoulder/bicep. Whatever, yo. That dude was boxing and lost a VERY important piece in that game. A whole arm. Thank you for gettin the facts straight. Deal is, he lost half his weapons basically and didn't quit. And, like the other commenter here said, some can hardly tell anything even happened. I still think he should have spoke up for his health. It's impossible to not respect that he thugged it out and almost nobody noticed he was hurt. On some adnauseum sheit; I do think Fairplay had to have felt/noticed it. And at least someone else there had to. They gotta be on the up n up a little. Dang.
Real respectful gentleman. Classy guys ! Love to see this ! Very admirable. Some men have more talent than character and these guys have both ! God bless them with many more years of Good health , protection , love & connections.
That really surprised me. Black t shirt looked much the more skilful, but was so defensive. Then again, I watched it with the sound off, and didn't realise he'd put his shoulder out.
Well he was actually boxing. They keep their body in tight when on defense. Fairlplay is a great fighter. I dont know how much if any formal boxing skills he has, but he looked a lot more sluggish here compared to the other guy that does have formal boxing skills. It even only took one look for the dude in the black shirt to anticipate that step and and hook shot Fairplay wad going to try the second time early on before he caught him with an inside hook!
Hey, everyone's mentioning how JJ threw out his shoulder. But Fairplay took a few good clean shots and was downed in the first round. But to his credit, he fought through it. Stepping in and talking damage WILL make a person appear sluggish. Both men fought through adversity and completed the match. Respect to these gentlemen and anyone who has the courage to step in.
@@RonALampman just overall his style was a bit off imo. I remember FP being so smooth and light, crisp, fast. This was not what I remember him as in recent fights. Call it ring rust, time away from the square circle, weight gain etc..he still fought well. My favorite SB fighter. Always classy.
Prolly one of the best performances from both fighters I’ve seen on this channel, fair play as usual puttin in that work, and jj had the will to keep going after almost getting knocked out, that was a great fight Fr
Besides his jab, he throws with terrible form. His hands are down. He swings long windmills for hooks instead of stiff, 90 degrees at the elbow, and twist in the hips. He's mad athletic, and a great fighter. But his fundamentals aren't there my G
You wanted to correct me by saying the fight was 2 weeks old. I was just saying the fight is way older than 2 weeks old. Just type in fairplay vs jj in RU-vid search. But it really doesn't matter. Neither of us is getting paid for this 🤣🤣🤣
1:44 was when he definitely threw the shoulder out. Jab, and you can tell when he whiffed that hook something wasn’t right. He tried to throw the left again after, and wasn’t nearly as sharp, or powerful, and more than likely damaged that shoulder even more. Props to poker facing it, and finishing the fight. I like FairPlay, but JJ probably wins if this sequence doesn’t happen
Was it just me or did they both look off their game from the first? They both fought well and I think if dude had not hurt his arm that he was well prepared to war through the last round. That was a very good fight and I would have a hard time calling a winner there. These two will come back together someday I think.
I love Fairplay. Best fighter to watch on this ragtag piece of crap sideshow. But people should reconsider this kid's body jab he was landing on Fairplay early. It was beautiful stuff
FairPlay needs to wear rubber cleats or they need better flooring in the ring. He was able to take punches because hes light on his feet, he likes to counter and predict instead of pressure them. So he would basically get hit and then move away negating JJs power making it less powerful but would slip due to poor traction. It fits his character but that would’ve been a loss because he handicaps himself
You guys should let these guys fight in those field conditions. No traction. But it’s back yard so I understand. The guy in the suit would be alot nicer if he didn’t wear it. I can tell he very agile
If you're gonna call out Fairplay you should at least dress for the occasion. At 1:57 into the video was the last time he used his left hand until the 3rd round. You could tell the punch went wrong in the 1st and hurt, then hurt badly when he threw the left in the 3rd. Props to him for trying to gut it out.
JJ would have finished Fairplay quick but he injured his left arm at 1:40 and switched to south paw. He didnt use his left much after that round. He fought with one arm. wow
I love FairPlay, he will always be one of the Streetbeef GOATS. That said, I am a new big fan of Jose. Dude is tough as hell and all class. Good fight gentlemen 👏🏻👏🏻
