I wish there was more of these, there is a couple of hours of them commenting on the best of which is brilliant. To have these two chatting about the show is really entertaining, they are so relaxed and have a lot to say.
Bruce Forsyth was the best host they ever had. He was born to be in front of a camera. His years of being on television, from Sunday Night At The London Palladium through to his numerous tv game shows gave him the experience to appear as comfortable on screen as it is to slip on a well-worn pair of slippers. His 'Play Your Iraqi Cards Right' although a risky gamble (as mentioned here) was a triumph.
You two are the best and its an absolute disgrace that you're being got rid of. I'll give the new show a watch but I dont hold high hopes. I'm guessing it'll be something I end up glazing over and not taking much notice of again
Same way as yet another excellent show (Top Gear)... No one with intelligence is left interested. But just maybe, just like Clarkson and Co 'They' shall find a better free way for us to enjoy this magnificent show 😄😄😄 All in good time....
Got a bit of a "thing" for Angus have you? The guy did a good job but like a lot of people he thought he was bigger than the show. What's he up to these days? Oh yes that's right, fuck all worthy of note.
when did the supposed satire allowed to be aired on British TV ever truly question the establishment? John Cleese? David Frost? Peter Cook? Spitting Image? Look at the career of Ben Elton. Uber-angry "alternative" comedian, now a soppy royalist establishment lovey. That's how it works. Instead of going up against you they simply absorb you. In the end why fight it? The show is bloody brilliant, just enjoy.
Or because in the background he was a pompous, lecherous, cocaine sniffing, celebrity sucking twat... obviously! These two had credibility to preserve. Angus was all about himself and all about the money. And he deserved everything he got. These two have talent. That's why they have been there for 30 years. Angus knew how to read pre-written jokes from an autocue. But yep, sure, they 'ganged up' on poor little Angus.
Angus repeatedly brought ill repute upon the brand of Have I Got News For You, Hislop's baby, Hislop tries to maintain some sort of moral higher ground to stay above the MP's and HoL's, the show was taking a beating because of Angus. Chop.
