You're a US American Anglophile, aren't you? I am as well, and specifically a working-class US American. One thing I love about the UK is how openly the working-class dislike the rich and posh. So I assume you're not actually British or else you wouldn't list posh as a positive quality.
It's everywhere. Since at least the global recession of the 2000s, countries all over the world have been going through cycles of political, social, and economic turmoil. Right-wing extremism and fascism has also been on the rise around the world. I think that it will continue and get worse as the effects of the climate crisis intensify. Less livable and farmable land, less access to drinkable water, more extreme weather and natural disasters, and related mass migrations (which always lead to conflict). I am neurodivergent, like Greta Thunberg. She said her autism helps her be a climate activist because she naturally states the truth bluntly. I see this as the reality and am preparing for it as best I can (e.g., learning how to purify my own drinking water, learning to garden and grow my own food). I also will never have children because I know their future would only be suffering.
