On this trip we did short backpacking hikes to Ice Lake, Grebe Lake, and Cascade Lake. I enjoyed a day hike on Slough Creek. We also spent time visiting the Upper Geyser Basin, Black Sand Basin, Midway Geyser Basin, Biscuit Basin, Mud Volcano area, and West Thumb Geyser Basin.
We happened to catch an eruption at Old Faithful, enjoyed a couple of beers at the inn, visited the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and enjoyed the views on the Dunraven Pass Rd which had been closed the past 2 years.
