Get dirty and re-wild your life. I like that. Happy Birthday Kristy! The big 6-0! You look great! So you'll be hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon! I did that in the '90's. Super experience! It was 120 deg at the bottom. That was HOT!! Camped overnight there and hiked back up the next day. Unforgetable views. You'll want to stop for a rest and a bite to eat at Indian Gardens which is half way. It's a campground. We'll look for Pesky too! So she invited herself along! Take care you guys.

I had to backtrack the video for a minute as I thought we shared the same birth date but I hit 75 one day earlier. You stick to your guns with that Pesky now. She's a sneaky one. I remember a couple of times you both ended up hauling some of her gear.
You (all- including Pesky) are so funny!! Thank yo u, thank you!! Was so excited to see you hiking in an area that my husband and I have hiked - in Madera Canyon. (Yea, I've hiked somewhere the Wonder Women have) We went further into the canyon so hike seemed to be steeper and at some good angles so happy we had hiking boots on. Do you ever wear them....can't remember seeing you use anything but your good hokas??

I’m sure you’ve heard about all the snow here in Colorado.❄️. Up here in the area west of Colorado Springs, I got 22 inches of snow , with another 7 - 14 inches predicted for tonight! (March 14). Seeing you two in the warm sunshine there is wonderful!
We didn’t get permits either. 4 no’s. Sounds as if you may be in this area sometime in summer? Looking forward to the hike and will keep you posted on if end up down there.
Happy Birthday, Kristi. Beautiful canyon hike on this video, the turkeys were a surprise. I notice sometimes you use your walking sticks and sometimes not. Are you able to give us a quick tutorial on the best technique for using them? I got some for Christmas and they are a little hard to get used to. They do help on hills. Boy, Pesky has some nerve inviting herself to your tent. Thank you. Take care, be safe.

It’s very frustrating trying to get a permit for the Wonderland Trail. It seems that the only way to get a permit is if you do the trail in a ridiculously short amount of time. I hope you have luck with the walk up.
HB2U! I am 61 and going strong. I also went to Catalina SP! Didn't get to do much hiking so I will be excited to see what the trails look like. Do you train with weights in your pack or your real gear or a combo? I am hiking part of the JMT this summer and need to start training with a pack soon. Have fun!
