Hi. As a rule I usually have a 'sprinkling' of motion detection squares active for customers when installing, if notifications are asked for. But as this was just a quick training video with a brand new DVR from our stock I didn't bother simply for time reasons. A good tip is to activate motion detection squares on path and driveways to minimise the false alarms ⏰ Hope this answers your question. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
Hi Richard. Yes it is a DVR facility, not a camera facility. Face Detection camera's are available in IP versions by all the big manufacturers including Hikvision and, all DVR's by Hikvision have one to 8 channels put to one side for an IP camera. Hi Leah, Don't quote me on this, but I suspect it 'probably' has. The only reason why I say 'probably' is because 1, I don't recall using face capture on that particular model off the top of my head, and 2, that version of NVR has People Counting / Heat Map and ANPR etc so, I cannot think of a good reason why it wouldn't have it available with a compatible IP camera. Hi Sir, may I know all channel can support face Detection? I have tried using ids-7204hqhi-m1/s for testing face Detection but can use only 1 channel. I tried enable face detection for camera 2, the system not allowed to enable at the same time for 2 channel.
Hi, Only one channel can be selected for face detection as it is extremely heavy on the resources of the DVR. Maybe in the future more channels will become available but, unfortunately they are not available at present. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
