Ok if we calculate it there are four arcs in vinlad saga first one adapted in 2019 covering almost 60 chapter the gap between first and second seaon is 3 years. The second seaon probably only cover slave arc that mean we have to wait another 3 years to see east expedition arc getting animated. Then another 3 years for vinland arc to get animated. So you have to wait alteast 5-6 years to see this get animated
@@jyolal8654 Man you really think this is getting a 3rd season with all the people who dropped the anime. Even all the new silly anime this season is getting more viewership than Vinland Saga. Mappa only cares about profits and Vinland isn't doing it.
One of the most beautiful scenes ive ever read. As someone who is haunted by their evil actions against others in the past, and who has struggled every day to make up for what I did, never knowing if ive done enough to earn their forgiveness, this scene totally broke me. I didn't just cry, I was sobbing, for the first time in years. Im so happy for Thorfinn and Hild. I hope I can find that peace too someday. UPDATE: this scene inspired me to the point where I faced my fears and reached out to the people I hurt in my past. I'm in shock that I actually earned their forgiveness. Ive spent six years trying to make up for my sins and now its all finally over.
I'm very glad to see that the story you've left here didn't end in admittance, and that it ended well. Congratulations. I hope its time for you to start living again.
The only other scene that I can think of that is is so emotional despite being so simple was in Vagabond when an old lady says "You're the only one who doesn't know that youre a kind personn." to Musashi and he cant do anything other than walk away before he started crying. People really underestimate the power of well written dialog.
@@Sukinerohe denied that he was a kind person and was the opposite, a ruthless Ronin but cried because he was departing the family he spent time with the kids crying over musashi leaving
hild was basically younger thorfinn; following the one responsible for her loved ones’ death in the hopes of killing him one day. the difference is hild came for forgive him on her own which is something thorfinn wasn’t able to do with askeladd. it’s fascinating seeing the way different characters handle the same motivation.
@@CaitlinxDavis yea for real, it's so beautiful the way that Thorfinn by the very act of trying to change and redeem himself and become a better person prevents one of his victims from going down the dark path he went down and in doing so helps her achieve peace, Hild is basically what would've happened to Thorfinn if he was able to overcome his hatred and move on without being consumed by venegeance and killing and hurting hundreds of people in the process.
This is the most beautiful scene in the manga. Thorfinn being forgiven for his unforgivable past wasn’t something I was expecting. Hild was well within her rights to carry her hatred for him for the rest of her life. But he grew and changed so much that even she couldn’t hate him any longer.
His hands start to shake, and then the feels just rush towards him 😭 so far this is the most tear wrencher in vinland saga, and I can't wait for this part to get animated
I was reading it while number 2, and when I saw Hild forgiving my boy... I felt like a woman when she is receive a marriage proposal, so beautiful. After this I cryed.
The mangaka illustrates emotion so beautifully. This is the third time I've watched this video but when I see the way Thorfinn at first can't believe what he's hearing before breaking down into tears makes my own eyes water every time.
I still remember tearing up reading the hallucination scene of thorfinn apologizing and climbing out of hell as I was listening to Daydreaming by Radiohead. One of the best experiences I’ve had reading a manga, decently cemented Vinland saga as one of my favorites
It's hard to forgive someone... sometimes time will make it better, but when you're fixated on vengeance it's really hard to find forgiveness for someone. And thorfinn succeeded to won Hild's heart with his ambition and determination. this is truly a beautiful scene, to see someone break through that hatred and vengeance chain that hold her, just like thorfinn in the past.
I cry when I read this I dont know it feels like there are lots of painful events that occur in thorffins life and this is the best event he can ever have forgiveness
This entire video is beautiful. The music fits the moment so perfectly, the pacing of the panels is excellent, thank you for creating this for me to watch and cry.
Its rare for me to shed tears. Maybe its because, I was stuck with this character for years. Maybe its because I wished the same to happen for me too. Maybe I just felt happy for a fictional character. But boy did I cry.
This is one of my absolute favorite moments from the manga, it made me cry so much, just the symbolism of Hild being someone like Thorfinn consumed by vengeance being able to come to terms with her grief and move on from it, in a way that Thorfinn had to struggle so much to do is just so beautiful it really is a sort of testament to the path of redemption Thorfinn is on, he helped someone else deal with their anger and vengeance in a healthy way.
The bit that gets me is the 3 panels before Thorfinn crys, as if he was in shear disbelief of the words he was hearing, not quite sure how to process what he was feeling or not knowing what to say to Hild. Just shows again how much of a burden that guilt of the pain he's caused has been for Thorfinn that whole time imo.
I remember the day i read this chapter. I was seeing if i could binge read the remainder of the manga after watching the Prologe and the moment i got to this moment in the manga i just had to stop reading and take a couple of hours to process all the emotions i was feeling. It's such a beautiful and powerful scene and seeing Thorfinn not being able to process what Hild said before his emotions flooded out of him was just......Perfect.
Ngl ... First time I shed tears reading a manga ( i rarely read manga and I don't get emotional without voice overs or music) But... The panel where they showed Thorfinn's reaction had me for good. I was crying with a smile on my face ... ❤. Truly one of the best redemption arc
Considering the second season have 24 episodes and probably only adapt one arc (Since one arc is normally around 50 chapters more or less), pretty safe to assume we probably get this one in 4th season.
This is video is so good, and underrated, that fact that it uses Vinlad's Ost that match's the feels is just already great, and then put the best part of the Ost at the right time is just perfection. Well done to who made this.
You know thorfinns become a true warrior when the daughter of a man he killed forgives him for killing him. That shit isnt easy, and you cant blame her if she never forgived him. Thorfinns become a real warrior, fighting for peace and fighting without killing, imprisoning, or enslaving the enemy I cant imagine being a soldier, killing someone who had a family, i feel i could never forgive myself if i had to. Thats probably how Thorfinn felt, and that's probably the reason why he cried uncontrollably.
not gonna lie, i'm a full grown adult, and the first time i read these pages, I had to hold myself back a lot not to cry. But this time, with the music , i couldn't hold back 🥲 that story is so good.. so good. I'm pretty sure i'll cry when the anime will catch that scene too, damnit
Thorfinn and miyamoto musashi is a good examples when farming and plowing your field giving you your truest inner peace Guts : maybe i should start farming too
This reminded me of Kratos in God of War, another series I love very much. Both Thorfin and Kratos always had a terrible anger that they kept deep inside them, and that's why they did monstrous things. Even though they later wanted to change, their sins caused them serious pain over the years. But they both answered the question of what a real warrior is with a perfect redemption story.
we did not get to witness berserk to its final peak, haven't seen vagabond but might soon (heard it's good). at least seeing vinland animation finished in my lifetime would be a treat before i die.
"Revenge is a fools game" it's a vicious cycle like for example Askeladd killed thors Thorfinn wants revenge for his dad Thorfinn killed hild dad Hild wants revenge for her dad Hild killed unknown dad Unknown wants revenge for his/her dad It long and deadly cycle where innocent folks would die just because someone is on a revenge path and will kill whoever in their way
It’s interesting to see that Askeladd, Thorfinn and Hild are the same story but told as an improvement. Askeladd deep down knew what he does sucks, but he just gave up because he is unable to think it’s possible to change, Thorfinn walks through a ton of shit and blood in his hand but he could overcame and change for good and Hild didn’t need it to walk that hell just to reach the same than Thorfinn. In a way I think the author is telling how the human condition and history gets better despite the odds.
I read this just yesterday and cried an ocean over the end of the earth thought I'd be fine watching this but then Hild says "you are a true warrior" and shit man I thought of Thors and just broke 😭
Honestly this chapter got me out guard.. i was like "damn now that shit is really emotional and deserve for our boy thorfinn.." now this is the peak of thorfinn arc and character development. Wish and still hoping they can animate this..
Askeladd said to Thorfinn to take all his murdere souls to Vinland and seeing how Hild forgave Thorfinn: that means the first murdered soul he brought to Vinland was her father.
most impactful words ive ever read or heard in anime/manga. this moment was done beatifully. its a shame we didnt get to see their journey to sell the narwhal horns, wouldve made this even more rewarding but i guess the manga wouldve probably never been finished so it had to be skipped
Epic moment that remind me the relationship between Thorfinn and Askeladd. It might be because of Yukimura's genius intention that shading their faces but illuminating hairs makes this scene as if thorfinn forgives askeladd.
im so SOOOO glad i saw thorfinn choose violence. Just a clip of him fighting as an adult. And then i rewatched vinland s1 and then all of s2 and then the manga. Beautiful story. I never imagined it in a thousand years after seeing s1
Lucifer: They are flawed, broken, abortion. Gabriel: You're right they're flawed, but lot of them try to do better, to forgive. -Supernatural, Season 5
