I never realized that SeAL push-ups and Mike Tyson style push-ups had a root in old Hindu calisthenics. If you back out the same way you went forward, you'd be doing a bench assisted SeAL push-up, and a Tyson push-up is a pretty close varient that seems a little less interested in range of motion. I bet your Hindu push-up is effective because it looks like old India knew what they were doing for fitness.
