I've been struggling with hip bursitis for months and doing PT and Yin Yoga and strength exercises. Thank God I found your video. When I did the exercise on the block with my right leg/bad leg externally rotated, I literally felt the blood start to flow down the inside of my leg. Thank you thank you for the pain relief.

It's probably a good hip opening flow with no issues to begin with but aggravating for hip bursitis. Crossing your legs / clams is best avoided for those suffering from bursitis and downright painful. This flow made it worse for me, unfortunately!

@ChinnaChinnu-i5p -Definitely avoid and listen to your body. My training and experience, clam shells are helpful in the journey but it is important to listen to your body. If it is painful, stop. In the exercise, your hip should not move. Sometimes it helps to have your hand on your hip to monitor this. The clamshell exercise can strengthen your gluteus muscles and add muscular support to your hip joint. But again - MOST importantly, avoid activities that make the pain worse. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23160432/ That said you should always listen to your body, your individual needs and what your DR and or/ PT suggest.
