Hi can you force HDR on this projector? I want to use an Ezcoo with it to get Dolbt Vision. The global C1 doesnt have 1080p 240hz game mode or 3D which I need. If HDR can be forced then the Ezcoo can convert Dolby Vision to HDR and I would get everything. Btw the way great review and thank you!
Nope. It will turn on HDR based on the video contents / sources. Thank you too! But for your case, if Ezcoo can force output HDR based on DV, then Vidda will also display HDR.

Great review. Unfortunately I bought the C1S and didn't see that it didn't have Dolby Atmos. Only Dolby. Do I need to change to the C1PRO or is it possible to upgrade?

Hi Jayce! I don't understand, does this projector have native support for 24 fps movies? It has a 240hz in 1080p mode, so basically, blu-rays in 1080p with 24 frames, will be displayed correctly (with MEMC Off), without a frame judder, right?

What difference exists between the two? On the other hand, due to price, it is advisable to bring the vidda c1s from China, since although it is the Chinese version, it is cheaper. There is a difference of US$300 or more. Do you lose many functions by buying the Chinese version? The c1s does not have dolby vision, is it worth paying more money to have dolby vision? Thanks! Correct, they are not totally the same. But image quality should be the same. Just different on operating system and Dolby Vision/Atmos support. Just plug in TV stick, C1S is almost like C1. FYI, you won't get day night improvement from HDR10 to DV. I have XGIMI HORIZON Ultra with DV support. C1S HDR is better than HORIZON Ultra DV. The projector image quality affects more. Personally, I bought C1S as it is a lot cheaper than C1. Unless you watch a lot of DV videos, else HDR is more than enough.
There appears to be a large knob on the far right of the rear side of the projector (right of all the connector positions). Pray tell what is the purpose of this knob?

Hi Jayce! Awesome review as usual😃 would really appreciate your input for a laser projector on a friendly budget. Projector will be projected to the ceiling 3 metres high. I’m planning to use it with 4000k lighting on the side of the ceiling with a white to beige ceiling colour. Keystone correction will be required too. Currently deciding between Vidda C1S, Jmgo N1 Pro. Jmgo N1 ultra seems superior but is quite out of the budget. My question is; 1) Which projector would fit my requirements best from your recommended list 2) Would I need to install a projector screen on the ceiling for better results even when using keystone correction?
@@jayceooi1) For the screen size I’m looking for a 55 inch screen size. 2) As for keystone correction I would likely need it due to the limitations of the space. For a clearer context, I’m planning to use it in a dental clinic so that patients can have something to do while they having their teeth done.
@@VictorTing92 Get a TV mount on the ceiling is better (if the ceiling is rock solid). Else you are losing a lot of brightness and image quality with shorter throw ratio projectors from 3m away.
@@jayceooiI did consider mounting a tv on the ceiling but was advised against it due to the risk of the screen panel falling down. I’m thinking of using a projector stand around 150cm to reduce the height difference. If you were in my shoes, which projector would you choose after weighing all the pros and cons?
Actually Im trying to decide between the Wemax Nova or the Vidda C1 Pro. They are basically the same price. Which one should I get? Im upgrading from a Vogue Pro.
@@gigs5866 They are almost the same. C1 Pro is brighter and slightly better contrast. That's all. UST and long throw projector are different. UST works better with expensive ALR screen. If you don't plan to go for the screen, better stick with long throw. Else your wall need to have 100% even / flat.
Can i use apple tv remote to control projector sound? I try many ways and it not working i have to use Vidda remote to up/down the volume it’s very inconvenient

I didn't calibrate my C1S. It's great out of the box. No need to calibrate at all. Perfect SDR, not sure about HDR since my device can't test it properly.
@@jayceooi yeah thats what i tought. p1000 arrived today but im not impressed. and the short-er throw not really good for my room. already oreder c1s and will use Ezcoo SP12H2 to enable dolby vision for it.. still cheaper than buying global version.. like 700gbp cheaper. hows the 3d ? have you tried it?
I have seen videos from hisense using a pair of C1 projectors together to blend 2 projected image into 2 ultrawide image. Is this accessed through the menu?
@@jayceooi on second thought I think I was mistaken, it was a video of the new C2 shown at CES, not the C1, so perhaps this is a feature that is available with the C2 when it comes out later this year?
@@batteries671 For Hisense demo, nothing to do with the hardware. It is basically the software that slit the video into 2 projectors. Latency will be high on software solution... I prefer the China guy's hardware solution on using 4 C1 Pro. 😁😁
@@anndee8210 Slightly better in overall. Better in heatsink, image calibration, software OS and on. Anyway, get the cheaper one for you. They won't different too much...
