The M95 rifles are a great deal. Before the Ethiopian cache was found it was really hard to find the full size rifles. I have a few videos on my channel reviewing what I got. The M91 Carcano carbines from Italy are pretty solid too. The Italians took pretty good care of them.
one really sad part is the wire wheel marks you can see in the 88/90 on the wood where they wire wheeled the metal and got the wood too. I wish they wouldn't do that....
@royaltigerimports ok I am not trying to be difficult, but the last few times I have bought in the last few months it seemed those still were once you get thru those and have only ones that aren't wire wheeled you should highlight that. That would be a big selling point.
I've purchased probably one, if not a couple, of each of their "B" grade models that they've offered for $200, I've been satisfied with everyone. They are all worn with poor barrels but they are historical pieces that have seen years of actual service rather than sitting on the rack in a forgotten armory. To me each rifle is a unique artifact that has most likely spent time in combat with its own rich history and story to tell. Did the Mahdi forces use one of these French Gras against Gordon at Khartoum? As a kid I saw these in my father's "Small Arms of the World" and never imagined that 50 some years later I would have the opportunity to own one. Get a C&R FFL for $30 to save on transfer fees.
I understand the C&R thing, but I'd rather not give the man a reason to come to my home. I'll keep paying my ffl. I just see it as an extra insurance payment.
My huge complaint would be...that the rifles you are showing right now on that table DO NOT reflect the actual rifles received by most of the people whom I know from you tube videos. What they are getting are mostly all busted up stocks with missing pieces.
That is strange. We have 3 ladies taking care of the phone lines. What is your number and we will call you. I apologize that you had a hard time getting through.
@royaltigerimports I will say your customer service responses and help are significantly better than they were like a year or so ago. I stopped buying because of that, and the changes brought me back.
My FFL complains about them too. I ordered a few guns from them over the years and every time they tell me they don't respond. Once, they shipped my gun to them and my FFL had no idea who the customer (me) was. They didn't put any info about me in the box. My FFL had to go through every gun they had coming in and find a Carcano and match it up with me..
