@Mason Nemitz The correct way to kill Mr. House is to not kill him and instead sentence him to a life of misery in a containment pod unable to do anything.
To be honest if anyone but Jules himself deserves the title of Caesar, with all the baggage, it's him. A general with a fanatic army and grandiose dreams massacring his way through savage tribes and calling it peace.
Well his goal was unite wild tribes under 1 banner. Copying some invader civilization was best option. I kinda expect him to be Genghis Khan but Khan name was already taken.
One thing that really changed the outcome of the Fallout timeline was that transistors were only inveted about a century later, so science and technology evolved a lot more slowly which is why the 50s culture, technology and aesthetic really stayed that long.
@@dhararry7929 chalk it up to some weird sci-fi BS or something idk. while i don't think it is at all possible to have sentient robots and not even basic color television, i do find fallouts aesthetic to be pretty cool
@@dhararry7929no. The above comment is incorrect. Its not that tech evolved more slowly - its that we evolved completely different tech in the fallout universe. Instead of integrated circuit boards for example - cold fusion was invented in the 50-s. So yes, sentient robots, they just dont use transistors.

I doubt Chornobyl would've even happened in the first place tbh because nuclear power is very very prevalent in fallout so no cultural stigma has seen to grow around it like in our timeline after 3-mile island and Chernobyl

Somehow, these guys figured out cold FUSION, safe, profitable fusion reactors for the public, and a fully functional Liberty Prime, yet color TV, and miniaturized electronics are somehow beyond the realm of possibility.
Yeah I fins that so weird, even in gears of war where everything is super advanced, yet they use 60s era tv's and tech(I'm talking about gow before the 4th one)
It would seem to make better strategic sense for China to invade Europe, instead of nuking it. That would be a waste of the resources Europe has to offer. I could see a limited strike, to soften up resistance. Anyway, just my thoughts.
One thing missing from this video is the fact that the semiconductor was never invented, thus leading to the greater dependence on oil and nuclear energy and adding fuel to the fire, so to speak.
Semiconductors were known (they were known since the early 19th century) but transistors were developed much later than in our timeline (probably as late as 2067) with most computers still being mainframes built from vacuum tubes (Fallout 4 mentions transistors in logs from the early 2020s but this would not explain why most computers created 50 years later are still vacuum tubes-based and not similar to our current computers). This in fact means that the Fallout timeline has diverged from ours as soon as the 1920s.
Transistors were invented much later in the history of Fallout's Earth, I believe, not semiconductors. Still, that means-assuming generously that "transistors" doesn't mean any device demonstrating the principle, but rather the point-contact transistor that allowed for the device's integration into most electronics in "our" history-that Fallout's history diverges from our own in 1947, at the very latest, not at some point in the '50s or '60s.
Fallout is the best game I've ever played... It saddens me that it doesn't get as much respect for its story as it should. I mean, if the stories from Fallout were in the form of a book, it'd be amazing. Especially New Vegas.
how many games you've played? as much as i love Skyrim and Fallout (3, NV, 4), they got nothing on The Witcher 3. TW3 is the best RPG ever, especially if we talk about the storyline. nothing come out from Bethesda can match it
Halfi Desfarizly I love TW3, but as far as role playing goes, I feel like I can actually be my own individual, and affect the world in major ways in New Vegas. While in TW3 I'm almost always bound to Geral, and a more linear story. I think they're both great games, and I really like Project Red, but they vary so much as far as role play goes, that I don't think that you can say that one is objectively better than the other.
Abner Chilson It may be extereme weather conditions, nuts it's American soil. So nope, in this alternative timeline the patriotic Americans would defend against all commie invaders.
In the Fallout universe, China took Russia's place, China was America's direct rival having technology that in some areas surpassed Americas. An example, the stealth boy was actually reverse engineered from captured Chinese stealth suits. China was winning the arms race and America pulled it back with the invention of Power armor. Think of China in real life having an equal if not slightly stronger military than America. The USSR never having been disbanded in Fallout, was more of a soft power, having friendlier relations with America instead.
Also - the transistor was never invented in the Fallout timeline. Hence why they're advanced in some tech (power armor, laser rifles) but seemingly behind in others (TVs, Radios, Computers). They turned to nuclear energy for all their needs, even for cars.
@@aki_7487yes, but it's not as advanced as current technology. They also were not able to invent microchips which is why they evolved so differently. We also are starting super early to go for other alternate resources to avoid fallouts scenario..
The guy who made fallout was eating pizza and the idea became just like that =/ I'm telling the truth, chirs avellone say that in an interview with original team fallout and bethesda team fallout
Also the channel that does "The SCIENCE! Of (media thing)" actually worked out the number of atom bombs needed to cause Fallout's universe... which we had that number of in the 1980s...
@@Stalkergames916 oil is ever rarely used as "fuel" since it's combustion and ignition point are shit. Fossil fuel were have been primarily used as fuel... This includes gasoline, diesel, etc. Recently we've been developing types of fuel out food and waste to shorten consumption of fossil fuels and lower pollution, these fuels are known as ethanol, E-85, Flexfuel, bio-diesel, etc. The prediction of "running out of oil" is partially true and fake. It's true we might run out of oil reserves cause no new oil, but oil unlike fuel can be recycled and reused. Now running out of fossil fuels is a different story.
Cody forgot to mention that it is pretty much canon now that the NCR has pushed the Legion back and annexed Nevada. The game may have had alternative endings but Bethesda always makes the good ending canon.
+Cazle7 Also if you complete every quest in the game the "good" way and do the NCR ending it leads to the most satisfying and fleshed out ending sequence in the game including fixing 90% of the NCR'S problems.
I don't think we can call it canon, afaik Bethesda/Obsidian (attempted to) always push that there was no "good" or "bad" faction in NV especially. I'm really interested to see which ending they will actually accept as canon in Fallout 4. (I hope it's wild card!)
You can tell this was made in 2015 because he says “Like us on Facebook” back when Facebook was at its prime and not basically Twitter for 50 year olds
I mean they did kinda talk about him, robco was owned by house, but there was a bit missing, he forgot about transistor tech not being made which was critical and the reason why things were so massive, the legions borders are way off, the legion controlled huge chunks of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and controlled tribals north of them like the salt legs, but there was supposed to be more territory East of them, there’s a bit missing and it makes me sad
One big thing not mentioned is that miniaturization was rather slow in this universe. The transistor was not invented until much much later. Machines were far less efficient and the use of giant vacuum tubes consumed quite a bit more energy. That’s why the energy crisis hit much quicker in this world.

@@gwentigone unfortunately Bethesda said they would not likely touch upon areas besides the U.S but people could make a mod for it just like fallout London.
+FatKraker You know, this is what confuses me the most about Fallout history is that they HAD renewable energy. For fuck sakes, they had Nuclear Powered Cars! So, what the fuck was it that they needed with the oil anywyas?
Joshua Hayden Okay that would make more sense. I don't know I didn't think about that, guess just the emphasis on Oil. I guess we could assume that it be running low as well.
James Price Pretty sure if there are nuclear battery cars, the military already converted much of their hardware to that as well. I suppose we can assume that Uranium though would be running low like Joshua stated
Damian Clark Yes, I would assume that the uranium supply would be very low and the renewable energy sources that they had (for example Helios 1 and the Hoover Dam) weren't efficient enough and couldn't power the USA.
+Kastrenzo74 if only it was as easy as just going back to vaut 101, blowing the door open with your excessie amount of weapons and then shooting a few ill-prepared guards before stealing the GECK. I would have much preferred that to having to deal with all of those super mutants, children and being kidnapped by the enclave
There is a lot of things, I miss from Fallout 3 in Fallout New Vegas in Fallout 3, you had dad three dog the enclave the nicer brotherhood of steel the outcasts, the metro stations the drainage chambers which you accessed with temporary radio signals, and the dark brutal atmosphere.
Obviously environment wise it had to be different otherwise why even buy New Vegas, just replay 3. Vegas and the Mojave are much different than the Capital Wasteland. Lorewise it would make sense the Chinese targeted the U.S. capital with more vigor than a pleasure city like Vegas and with House having made preparations it's incredible he managed to save any extent of the city. But what makes New Vegas so incredible and replayable by comparison is that choice is in every facet of the game. If I wanted I could end House right after leaving Good springs or kill of the BOS. I can't take out Sarah Lyons in the very start of meeting her. Nor is siding with Enclave. Style wise, I think Megaton is one of the best settlements since Vault City, and really works well in it's environment. I really like Rivet City and the dilapidated landscape in the Capital.
The Dutch were more about profit rather then migration and cultural assimilation. Probably more aboriginals with their cultures more dominant. Probably would look a bit like Indonesia today. But not that alike. Not sure if the Dutch would have really wanted Australia tbh
+Larry Rudedude I think it's more interesting to speculate what happened if the Dutch would have been the most dominant colonial power. Would every nation pretty much have kept their original language? Or would everything be Dutch-oriented now?
@evansdrad You don't understand my point. No matter if it's the US vs Russia or the UK vs France, or whatever. They are still killing for things they want, no matter it be land, power, money or something else.

Eh, I would say it was more of a spark. Think of it as an engine, the sparks are tiny changes of the timeline and the ignition is the Divergence which places indefinitely the butterfly effect that makes the Fallout universe. (in my head canon, Nuka Cola is basically redesigned and rebranded Coca Cola to be honest)
I used to not be against the Enclave, they're remnants of the government, after all, right? but then I remembered that in this universe, the US Government initiated the Societal Preservation Program which tortured all the people who took refuge in Vault-Tec vaults...
A is for America that and the whole killing people slightly irradiated because they aren’t pure in an overtly fascistic like way might also be a tip off
They're also the members of the people that actually ran America, finance capitalists, political civil servants, military industrial complex organizers, etc.. These people would TECHNICALLY bring back America to exactly the way it was before the war, but is that really the right thing to do?
The problem with The Enclave is that they are ok with massive genocide. Contaminating the water would kill off countless innocent people in the process. Then you also see how they are fine with gunning down innocent people in The Wasteland. They aren't much different to Nazis with Jews during WW2. That is an accurate assessment since Nazis also viewed certain people as to being contaminated and not pure. The Enclave wants to eradicate every single being on the planet and begin a new one and even if they pulled that off, it wouldn't be a wonderful world or whatever. It would be a dictatorship and many people would suffer under it. The people would actually do better under The Legion compared to Enclave cause they might actually have a chance to live, lmao. Keep in mind that The Legion are fairly backwards with their beliefs too. NCR have it correct that The World has changed and going back to the ways of the old would cause many more to die. They view The Great War as the end of the old chapter in a book and the start of a new one. Mr. House seems more reasonable compared to The Enclave and his plans were also really good too.
"In this alternate timeline, the Soviets grow weaker, China comes in to take its place. The US has a new enemy on the global scale. So..... what's happening in the "original timeline"?
this is exactly what happening right now, although russia is not getting weaker, just stagnant. chinese however grow stronger and power hungry literally(electricity) US throwing sanction all over the place, hostile toward its allies
Probably something like that will happen in the future and after Russia defeted in the WWII China will take it's place in a new cold war era but no nukes or anything like Fallout serius just history repet itself with different protagonists.

Wasnt another reason their universe is different than ours in that they never invented microchips or something, so yheir technology is clunkier than ours, thus needing more energy, which dried oil reserves faster or something? And something not really mentioned, but which did bother me in FO3, how despite the nuclear exchange, cities remained standing, even Washington DC, which would have realistically been hit by many. That alternate world seems to have gone towards less powerful, more irradiating bombs, so rather than wipe out the cities, you just wreck them and poision everyone with radiation.
+Andres Angulo It's much more efficient than using so much power to create a massive BANG!! Poison doesn't use as much fuel, and Bethesda does need some forms of decoration or it would a much more underground based-boring game *:D*
+Andres Angulo The nuclear bombs used in the fallout universe by all nations used a smaller-yield warheads. They retired the use of Megaton-class thermonuclears for the smaller ones. Meaning less explosive power. BUT these weapons deposited more fallout in the atmosphere.

It isn’t exactly a diversion from our Timeline yet since the discovery of sustainable Nuclear Fusion happened as a result of the resource crisis in the games, which occurs a few decades from now on the Fallout timeline.
Breaking news to you! Fusion has been created successfully by America, and soon Canada will be capable! We will see fusion very soon and once it happens? Oil is going to kill itself😃
New Vegas was way better. Not to mention it was made by some of the people (Obsidian, founded by a few of the members of the original Black Isle Studios) who made the first two Fallouts, which are also better than number 3.
Mad Max Rockatansky My opinion matters to me. Not reviewers' ones. As really big fan of Fallout who played all games since Fallout from 1997 (the series started its life in the same year I was born), I am claiming there is no doubt about New Vegas over 3. U cant change my mind.
Ok, why is everyone fighting over oil when we've clearly established that the Fallout universe has advanced fusion technology, which they put in everything?
It was too little, too late. Majority of the country still ran on fossil fuel. The Fallout Bible states that world traffic stopped in 2060 as oil levels dropped, and despite the unveiling of the first fusion cell in 2066 and the construction of fusion vehicles, the integration into the US infrastructure was extremely slow. By the time the bombs fell, few areas in the US ran on fusion power.
A German U-Boat Actually America adopted that tech way too late to be safe from the war,it was still dependent on oil. So they also became belligerents in the Great War
lmao the Institute was made from the pre war CIT Commonwealth Institute of technology and they were fairly similar to the Enclave but they actually developed all of their own technology which is pretty damn impressive as they actually developed their own lasers instead of using pre war shit except they don't have power armor because of that lol.
