History of the Knight Rider Kenner Toy Merchandise Line! 

When I was a kid I wanted the Talking KITT for Christmas. Unfortunately it was THE sought after Christmas item that year and stores were sold out. I had to wait 30 years before I finally got a hold of one.

As a kid I had the beloved Voice Car but my gripe was that "Knight 2000" lettering since it wasn't on the show. Now, I LOVE it, especially on that tour car.

I still have the Kenner Knight 2000 voice car! Looks so good even with the Knight 2000 on the door!

I found a DST 1/15 scale talking Kitt at a swap meet last weekend and bought it instantly. I did have the plastic ERTL Kitt model growing up, which wasn't capable of taking much abuse. My blue Lego Technic pneumatic forklift was that cars nemesis for a while.

Awesome collection :) I remember my neighbour had the whip shifter KITT model in the 80's when the show was still on tv, and indeed it looked very nicely detailed and pretty accurate, well didn't care about the dent on the roof though. I also seem to recall it had soft rubber front nose. Never knew it's a Kenner toy. We played with it outside on a dirt road, replicating various KITT stunts, so it got heavily used :D

I've got ten Kenner Knight 2000 whip shifter cars and two Knight 2000 voice cars, I used to have a kenner whip shifter Knight 2000 car when I was eight years old I got it for Christmas back in 1985, I tore it up but I made up for it now with my collection I have of them now, I bought them off of eBay about four years ago and I have some of the plastic model kits of the Knight industries two thousand as well, that's an awesome collection you have also😊😊😊👍👍👍

Such nostalgia! My brother and I both had our own KITT Voice Cars, because we couldn’t share! 😂 I think both of ours ended up breaking at the base of the windshield A pillars. And I eventually took mine apart to discover the record player voice box inside. But man I loved playing with that car!

i have two kitt toys that are made in the 2010s but my dad has 3 kitt toys bought in the 80s

Thank you for this cool video between me and my wife we have some of the cool kitt merchandise there is one thing that I have that was not shown and that was the Knight rider stomper vehicle and I still have it thank you for the awesome video guys

I had a few firebirds of this era. They were fun cars to drive. Not the fastest as they aged. The most powerful one I owned was an 89 Formula model.
