I think that hand lifted up the mattress/carpet on the ground after the camera panned up to shield the actor who was bench pressing from the blanks being fired directly at his face
Makes sense. Blanks can still kill if fired close enough. Jon Erik Hexum of Voyagers tragically died this way after playing with a prop gun filled with blanks.
Robert Carlyle would have been perfect to play Oswald Mosley, a British Fascist leader, and Hitler's English counterpart. Also, he nearly looked like him with a Mustache similar to Mosley's.
from the goofy and good hearted in the full monty, till the evil dictator that brought sooo much suffering and pain in five years on earth this actor is legend forever
it's funny how because the government succeeded in suppressing him until war time were over he went on to live like some sort of a disease infecting whatever population was dumb enough to listen to him, ending with rural UK
2:50 Hindenburg's state funeral was actually held on 7th August 1934 at the Tannenberg Memorial (which is shown in this clip) in East Prussia, not Berlin.
@@MrSniperdude01 "On 20 August 1934, the cabinet decreed the "Law On The Allegiance of Civil Servants and Soldiers of the Armed Forces", which superseded the original oaths. The new law decreed that both members of the armed forces and civil servants had to swear an oath of loyalty to Hitler personally." wrong
Wait everyone, it's not yet over yet. Everyone who watched this should watch its sequel: _Der Untergang_ (_The Downfall_) to see how it formally ends...
Rise of evil or evils and snakes. According to them those have rised up from countries like Germany and now Russia but not from elsewhere. Nowadays countries like who are leading military wise and economic wise China, Russia and some countries rapidly expanding Iran, Iraq and North Korea refuse to sit on same table and discuss things and make a friendship. But why?????
They have German names, their mother tongue is German, the state was founded by Bavarians and belonged to Germany for most of history. Vienna was the capital of Germany for the longest part of history. Yes, Austrians are Germans. Stupidity doesn't change that. @@top-flex2225
@Aloysius Hiedler It's true that most of the SS and SA couldn't get along well, much like the Wehrmacht and the SS during the final years of the war. The SS and SA were always competing on which one of them was more relevant, and when the SA leadership (whom intended to overthrow Hitler for a hopeless revolution) was dealt with during the night of the long knives most of the SA officials joined the ranks of the SS and the Reichswehr at the time.
In the end everyone was fooled... For In The End It Wasn’t The Ones We Blamed Who Were The Biggest Threat... For In The End... The Most Dangerous Man In The Room... Was The Man Who Had Nothing And Nobody Left To Lose. -Alex Flores
It’s bloody about his rise to Power and Robert Carlyle played him well and later said he hated screaming that anti Semitic stuff in the Meeting scenes. It’s NOT about post 1934 hence why it ends their ,we know what happened after that enough has been done to death on that his rise has not been covered so well. I do think it was an error to downplay Characters like Gobbles and leave Himmler out completely though.
It’s about his rise to power. Our history teacher just had us watch it so we can understand how he came to power and how he had taken control of a country and basically brain wash many into believing in his ideologies
think what the elites do now then think hitler couldnt have had a wet dream of whats been accomplished the media is worse then any nuke made today. blind compliance and propagandized minds has brought more suffering then ever and most dont know or are to busy caring to give a fuck about anything.
In some instances, especially when addressing large crouds, the repetition of sieg heil was accompanied by saluting multiple times. You can go watch old historical footage of Nazi party gatherings and see that the crowd does indeed heil multiple times. Of course in normal circumstances it was only once
It was used during some occasions. I think it was known as the Iron Salute or something along those lines. It was used as a symbol of praise by the Germans.
rasturnel1 It was actually quite stupid of him to keep writing bad stuff about Hitler he thought he could make a change, but he couldn’t. He should’ve realized the majority of the people were in full support of Hitler. He should’ve got out and fled. I know his intentions were to try to get other people to stand up against Hitler and fascism, but because of the dire circumstances the people were in. The situation was so dire that’s why everybody got behind Hitler. They were desperate and in times of desperation and economic hardship. People will always turn to an authoritarian type leader or dictator. Fritz just could not see that the great majority were for Hitler. I don’t blame the majority considering the dire circumstances they were in. Fritz should’ve fled but he was foolish and he paid the ultimate price for his foolishness.
@Gabbageist You don't have to be a historian, anyone with a basic knowledge of historical events can see this movie is way off in just about everything it spews in your face.
@@D88111 Oh, really? Is that the reason why not a single Goverment in the world has this ideology? Makes sense. (Sarcasm) But now seriously... This evil ideology will never rise again. Get over it! And who is a Yank? I'm German lol.

Actually no, camp guards & commanders had to take oaths to keep the camps secret, and it’s operations secret. If they tell anyone even their wives they would get executed; treason/espionage charges.
Even Anna frank wrote in her diaries that she knew that the Jews in Poland were being gassed, so it is more or less self evident that the general German population wasn’t as ignorant as they are so anxious to make themselves sometimes.
Interesting fact: The then-leader of the Palestinians and Arafat's mentor, Amin al-Husseini, actually was an ally of Hitler, a member of the Waffen-SS and helped facilitate the Shoah. That criminal is still lauded in Palestinian textbooks as the "leader of our patriotic movement", was called a "pioneer" for the "martyrs and heroes" (in reality Islamist murderers) and "vanguard" of Fatah by Abbas. Furthermore, an advisor of Abbas called him the "role model" and "great national leader" of the Palestinians. So don't you *dare* equate the Shoah with the war the terrorists have brought upon themselves.
@YoshiStudio672 "Nazi/Communist" - These two political system's are very different from eachother, and can't/shouldn't be compared. 1. So, the Russian didn't get killed by their own soldiers? Just 1. example. Deserters. 2. Well no, not really. They didn't have their own country yet, no. But no religion itself has any defense; it rely on the country, in which it inhabit. 3. What? I read this over and over, makes no proper sense. 4. Stalin didn't like any religion. So your point was again?
what i meant he was smart on how to the people of Germany to follow him NOW if he had listen to his generals at the time and took there advice he had a chance to win.
Ivan Borķow but surely you can come up with a better example than arguably the most hated man in history and the person that started ww2 which resulted in the deaths of 80 million people
@@aestheticspace8862 Sacrifices must be made in order for the humanity to prosper , the society lost discipline , this world needs someone like him not a weak leader .

@sabaton1231 Like obviously the Nazis were evil but things such as him beating the dog, attempting to rape his niece, his father did not die infront of him and never beat his mother. Check it on wikipedia, it shows you all of the inaccuracies...there are a ton of them. Downfall or "Der Untergang" is a better movie
Such a good actor. Always a fan of Robert. Solid movie. Unfortunate we allowed things to go so far in the name of “appeasement”. You confront bullies and never back down!
@gothikaceltic--To whom is this propaganda? The film was made as a prime example of Hitlers rise to power from the streets of poverty through an exceeding skill at oral presentation. It shows Hitler in a way that only books have spoken of. If this film is a propaganda, it is only propaganda to the sadistic. If it is not accurate, may I ask...what is your relation to Hitler?
@RenKaiTan ..,And on the same Wiki page ,"Save Disney" campaign and Eisner's ouster ..last paragraph sentence reads,... "On March 13, 2005, Eisner announced that he would step down as CEO one year before his contract expired." What part of your brain does not process ,.."that he would step down as CEO one year before his contract expired."? pls gtfoh
@ArsenalFan20007 He certainly had some power over the crowd. His speeches, when listened to carefully, make NO SENSE at all; it's sheer gibberish; stock phrases and slogans jumbled together into a crescendo of passionate garbage. It was like he used his voice to conduct the masses like an orchestra: the words are unimportant. It's not what you say....
@gothikaceltic They did, I think they portrayed the horrors of post-war Germany quite well. What exactly are your complaints with the accuracy of the film other than that?
Watching the end of this makes me proud my grandfather fought in Europe during WW2 to destroy Hitler's monstrous regime. He was the living embodiment of a sociopath.
Nothing more sociopathic than fighting for your people, fighting against communism, and getting your country out of the grasp of international finance.
