Hitori, which is a Japanese Puzzle has its applications spread throughout the DILR section of the CAT. The process of eliminating elements depending on their presence in a row or a column is something that helps build logical reasoning skills that are important in questions involving arrangements. In this video, Shashank Prabhu, CAT 100%iler explains how to solve these puzzle types by knowing what the commonly found combinations are and solving an actual Hitori puzzle.
The puzzle used in this video has been taken from www.brainbashers.com. You may check out the website for more such puzzles. The idea is for you to get good at solving easy and intermediate levels of these puzzles. If you do get stuck solving any of these puzzles, let us know in the comments section below.

Hi Abhigyan, the Daily Drills are going to be on throughout the season. Also, I am planning to conduct some workshops from August for CAT 24. Will make an announcement sometime next month.

irrelevant question at this time but Sir is there any chance of Getting call from IIM LUCKNOW or IIM KOZHIKODE with 7/7/7 profile and no work ex Graduated in 2023 (non engineer)

Looks difficult for a general candidate to be honest unless their criteria change and you manage a huge score at the CAT (99.8+).

Yes. I would suggest you look at some non-IIMs too. FMS, XLRI, MDI, IIFT, NMIMS, JBIMS, SIBM can be considered to be on par or better than many of the IIMs plus many of them don’t consider your acads while shortlisting. As far as the ideal percentile goes, you should target at least a 95 percentile to be on the safer side. A higher percentile will of course significantly improve your chances.
