Motown truly was a machine during their best years back in the day, they made music that was so good and spoke to so many across generations. And this song shows just how good they were at what they did, a true classic.

The music of my youth. Motown was the bomb and the Four Tops were among the best. They had so many great hits, mostly lead by the fabulous Levi Stubbs. Would love to see your reaction to Still Water and Ain’t No Woman. They were so fantastic and had such class. They were 4 guys who grew up in Detroit and sang together for decades. Sadly, only Duke Fakir is still with us. They gave us so much great music and Levi had a voice that was incomparable. Thanks for the great reaction. 👏👏👏🥰

I can't imagine hearing this kind of stuff nowadays. The 50's 60's 70's 80's are decades that will never be repeated. The 70's soul jams include the Stylistics, Chi-lites, Dramatics, O'Jays, Delfonics, I could go on and on!

The Four Tops from Hitsville USA, Detroit one of Motowns best, 😅 I told you Motown is a deep rabbit hole, Berry Gordy had a team that made all the performer's look and sound fantastic,😀 Michael sang this song and so did Diana Ross 😀 the Four Tops was one of my favorites. Love all the great Motown artists. They had real class & beautiful harmonies. Love the matching choreography steps that these groups had. The Four Tops had lots of hits such as "Baby I Need Your Loving", “I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)", "Ask The Lonely", "It's The Same Old Song", "Standing In The Shadows Of Love", "Bernadette", "Ain't No Woman", "Something About You", "Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over)", "Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever" etc. The Temptations had a similar style & also had lots of great songs.

I also grew up listening to Otis Redding Marvin Gaye Teddy P The Four Tops The Temptations Sam Cooke The list goes on and on. I had the best of both worlds. I Miss my parents very much.

Motown's finest. The Temptations and The 4 Tops were the best and dominate d the charts for years. This is my favorite 4 stops song. They put out some fabulous music, great vocals and harmony. Motown was where it was at for soul music in the 60's and 70's. And, the groups dressed sharp! Check out "Bernadette" next.

🇬🇧 OMG you finally got to The Four Tops! My favourite Motown group. Back in the 60s they were on fire 🔥🔥🔥, and they had hit after hit. In 1981 they had another fantastic hit with "When She Was My Girl". If you're going to listen to it, please make sure to type in Saturday 'live" 1981, after the title of course. ❤❤❤❤🎼🎶🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️

One of the best shows I've seen was in 1984, The Temptations and The Four Tops (aka the Temps and the Tops). Of course, they each did their own sets, but the best part was when both groups shared the stage and they engaged in a kind of competition -- a sing-off, if you will -- as well as a dance-off. Super fun! And this eas when many of the originsl mbrs were still in the groups. Even though my boyfriend had just broken up with me the day before, and the seat next to me was empty, we (my BFF and her boyfriend) really enjoyed that show. Great entertainers.

Great song by a great group. I think you'd like Gladys Knight and the Pips. They have the same vibe of the lead and background singers adding to each others performance. They had a lot of hits, but "Midnight Train to Georgia" would be a great one to start with. (They also do a good version of "Heard it Through the Grapevine, although personally I prefer Creedence Clearwater Revival's version followed by the Marvin Gaye version, then Gladys.)
