By the time I took ownership, the first owner took it out because many had their models fly away with the STOCK GPS system that this model came with. I flew it with a regular receiver without any GPS.

@@guapoman2000 in the instance of a so called fly away, I certainly know of one guy who had set the home point in a field 5 mile away, then flew the following day but didn't re set the home point, with the results that the airplane tried to fly back to the first field, so I'm seriously wondering if people are making this kinda mistake on this aircraft, and it's not a GPS problem.
Love this airplane. But on about the 6th landing, it flipped over and broke the vertical stabilizer. Any advice on what glue to use? The wrong type of glue will melt the styrofoam so I want to be careful what I use. Thanks.
Ken is correct, even though I have not used Foam Tac personally on my models, I have been very successful in using plain WHITE GLUE (a little longer to cure, but leaves a strong bond and does not leave residue. Now I am using GORILLA "CLEAR" GLUE and GORILLA Wood Glue all of which are super for foam models.
It's telling you that you haven't set the take-off position and heading. Hold the bind button until the controls wag. This sets the take-off position and heading in case you need autoland. The throttle should now work as normal and you can fly. Probably worth re-reading the instructions.
If I recall, this model came with a very flimsy GPS system that many had their models fly away. Therefore, my buddy took it out and I placed a regular receiver without any GPS. It flew great and didn't fly away.
@@guapoman2000 Looks like your video post was made in 2018 (some 6 years ago), so hopefully the GPS modules are better now? Yeah everyone says "the plane flies great without the GPS". BUT some of us very newbie pilots with lousy eyesight would REALLY like to have a GPS function to save our butts!...lol
