you'll look back on good events in your life that are happening right now and think, "damn, those were the good ol days I'll never get back." In other words, don't think that way! Be glad that you have those memories and be as present as you can so you can recognize when you're making good memories again. Trust me, nostalgia can feel comforting but dwelling on how you can "never go back" will just make your life feel shorter and sadder.

You're right. This specific moment in your history will never be able to be reexperienced, but at that time you didn't know that... So why can't the same be true for the present? One day you're going to look back on these days too, and miss them dearly. Even the bad moments, because even in those bad moments there are good ones that sneak through, and you'll remember them fondly. Appreciate the moment you have now, as it too will be a distant memory not long from now.

This is one of those playlists that's highly specific but exactly what I need right now. my favorites have always been southern island, mt pyre, cave of origin, elite four , and petalburg themes. the entire soundtrack is close to my heart forever and i still play these games atleast once a year, still gives me the same warm feeling inside.

I've named every swampert I've ever had skipper when a mudkip, then he turns into a creature you would trust as an actual sea captain. Literally never took my starter out of the party as a kid, what a kick in the teeth it would be to them.

I remember playing Platinum to death like a maniac back in the day and one time I woke up my parents by accident bc I put my volume up during a gym fight. I heard them walking to my room and opening my bedroom door, I stashed the DS under my pillow so fast and quickly pretended to be asleep. In the process my head slammed onto my pillow too hard and I snapped the top half of the DS and I also forgot to turn the volume down, all you hear is the horrific error sounds emanating from my DS at a high volume. My parents took my DS bc they wanted to sleep for work the next day and never gave it back till I eventually found it about a year later in a box under their bed🥲

I remember one day my brother told me my gameboy was in the fridge so I go to open the fridge and there it was. He said I had put it in there myself because it was getting hot and I wanted to cool it down, but I don't remember doing that. Dude had a history of lying, stealing, and screwing with your things (even if it meant ruining them) so I probably should've guessed that he put it in there. But I was just like "Oh I must've forgotten".

i was more of a ds era but dont get me wrong at one point i had a color and a advanced. pokemon diamond is what i started on and ended up picking up leafgreen and emerald later on wwas heartgold and then black. after that i just went to modded pokemon gameboy adv games but that was years later and im still playing those atm. :3 the gameboy music and pokemon music is apart of me still and im fine with that. my childhood being apart of me for the rest of my life, why would i care about that or care about the judgment for it either. i loved this time in my life and wanting to bring aspects of it into my adult one isnt a bad thing. honestly sometimes i find myself wwanting to do things from my childhood for a living, like printing cards or creating or cleaning beyblades or recreating old bakugan. just find myself thinking like that recently and it seems like id love something like that. not for the money. just to show more love to the time that made me who i am practically. also might be some of wanting the new generations to expirience what wwe did too and realize that its all so fun and that they wwould never need tiktok or any of these other distractions wwith stuff like this. like we had. hahah i guess i feel bad for them in a way.
