There's not a whole lot going on in this chapter, but we are starting to see a bit more of the different branches, sorry, "hats" of Christianity. We'll get more into detail about them as the fic goes on, and believe me, there's a lot to talk about...
(Side note, near the end we mention the video being nearly 30min long. I had to cut about 6min to make it flow better, but I still left in the best bits of commentary and outtakes.)
I was debating on whether to post this yet or not, since Kod and I make a lot of jokes pertaining to our other dramatic readings we haven't uploaded yet. But I figured it's nothing that would hinder the understanding of the chapter itself, so you'll all just have to wait to see why Draco's dad loves "exclusive" items so much, or why KodKod doesn't love you and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. XD

@@QuinnthePrincess Oh my god. (Geddit cos this fic is Christian) I wonder what hat Erin/Joan would be if she and Edwood ended up in this school. She'd probably yell at the Slytherins for being sinnars or something. And then Jenny turns into a window.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Joan is a Catholic (she refers to a later character from her church as "father" instead of "pastor") so she would probably be a Slytherin too. Jenny would still be the window though. ;)

@@QuinnthePrincess Oh yeah, I forgot about that, and the story does bring the Pope into it. Which I'm looking forward to seeing in your version, btw. At least if Joan attended there she wouldn't whine about her drunk fire fighter/mayor/etc dad all the time. (I lost count of all the different jobs he has)

Oh yeah the Pope! XD I forgot about that for a sec. That's going to be hilarious to film! I think by the end of the story he had 8 jobs, but I could be wrong. Some of them we kind of made up. For example one time she said her dad was "at wor" and we took that to mean at war instead of work, hence he was a soldier instead of just acknowledging the typo. I think we mostly did that to throw in more TF2 jokes.

Great reading!😊 I love how original books is in quotation marks. 🤣 Love your Dumbledore commentary. And yes, you’re absolutely right - Dumbledore is far from perfect. Harry awoke *in* the mattress? Poor Harry. “The Bible gets its own bed” - 🤣 That was hilarious! Poor Ron, he keeps appearing as a bad guy in some fanfiction stories. Like Becoming Female and Hogwarts School of Prayer and Miracles. Oh my gosh. This fanfiction. I can’t believe all the Weasleys are taking up a whole table. 🤣👌 Harry followed him with the obedience of someone who doesn’t have many friends.” - that was a judgemental comment by the Fanfiction author. :/ The author probably didn’t mean to be judgemental, but that’s the impression I got. I’ve met many kids, and they proved that not having friends doesn’t necessarily make a person obedient. They were still lovely people though. “Unless Dumbledore is Charles Manson” - 🤣😲🧐😨 Now THAT’S a scary thought. “He was dressed respectfully in MANLY jeans...and cowboy boots” - 😂🙃🤣. I will never get tired of hearing about the Fanfiction author Proud Housewife emphasising how manly Dumbledore’s clothes are. I’ll never get over Proud Housewife’s obsession with manly chest hair. 🤣 There’s nothing wrong with being a proud housewife, but I’m going to think of Hogwarts School of Prayer and Miracles whenever I hear the words Proud Housewife. Ron is a Catholic and Slytherin in this Fanfiction? My gosh. Keep up the great work with your videos and dramatic readings of Fanfiction! 🙂👍

As someone raised Lutheran (now agnostic)... no. Lutherans are actually pretty progressive for Christians. I had to go to these big national youth gatherings as a kid with tens of thousands of people, and the speakers there always gave pretty liberal, progressive speeches about how to be a Christian in the modern world. Lots of speeches about equality for LGBT people and whatnot. They also allow gay pastors now. And the top bishop in the whole organization church is a woman, which totally goes against the whole sexist messaging of this fanfic. Maybe that's the main difference between ELCA Lutherans (the main body of Lutheranism) and the Missouri Synod Lutherans. I've been told the Missouri Synod takes things a lot more literally.

Ah I see. Thank you for clearing that up. I have a grandmother who I think was raised Lutheran (now Methodist) and she takes things veeeeery literally. Like, she believes that heaven is a physical place and that we all have to work when we get there. But she’s very southern also so maybe that factors in. I’m pretty sure the rest of my family were raised Methodist, so her views always seemed like a bit of a culture shock.

Agreed. I was raised Pentecostal/Apostolic and we took the Bible VERY literally. The religion falls under fundamentalist.

I don't actually, but that sounds really intriguing if you'd care to elaborate. I was making a reference to the Becoming Female sequel in which Uncle Vernon is a self proclaimed Christian fundamentalist and makes Crystal and friends attend some very... uh, interesting sermons lol. I can't wait to start making the sequel!

@@QuinnthePrincess It's actually from the Becoming Female sequel. There's a bit where Christian fundamentalist Uncle Vernon tries to kill somebody who I can't remember with a samurai sword while yelling Bible verses but actually just slips on a banana peel and dies because of course he did, it's the Becoming Female sequel. I also can't wait, I love the Becoming Female series!

Definitely not abandoned! Just slow at updating haha! I have all the chapters recorded already it just takes awhile to edit and draw thumbnails for them. But I definitely plan on uploading the rest while I’m quarantined at my apartment 👍🏻

@@QuinnthePrincess That's wonderful. I've read all after I listened to the first 5 chapters, but the narration makes it much better. Also, your artworks are great too, I wonder if whoever brilliant person wrote the story will ever see them. I'm sure they'd love this series.
