We've had Cory's VK Commodore 355 Stroker in for a check up on the dyno. Come and join in to see how dyno tuning works... Follow us on Facebook / unigroupengineering Follow us on Instagram @unigroup_dyno
You don't need a 1000rwkw "$2k barra" to enjoy driving your weekend street car Some of the nicest sounding engines I've ever heard were 304, 308, 355, 383 Holden V8s A nice Holden V8 sounds much better than an LS IMO
if it had later heads out of a VN ported and a bigger cam should get 370-400hp on wheels ive seen some get 600hp at the crank if there done properly looks like its just a standard 308 with just a stroker kit
@@unigroupengineering Hey man, I am building a 308 stock stroke, do you think with a If going with early heads, or go with vn heads cleaned up vs the torque power alummunium heads? Revving 35000k to 8krpm street cruiser so can go that higher (bigger cam manifold, less stroke)
770 is too big. My 308-355 runs a 700, we put a 750 on it and it lost power. Although my 355 did make 501hp.. Not 260.. Yea it had VN heads and a junior manifold..
I think my old man's worn LS pulled more than that standard and still running with 450000ks on it. Nice VK Tho I was expecting way more power even as NA.
This is a fairly mild build, with mild power increase. To put it in context, an injected factory 304, on this dyno will show about 200hp. Yes, there are some high modified ones around that will make double that. We've seen very few with that kind of power in the 18 years we've been tuning. They do exist, but it's a rare animal.
@@unigroupengineering ah ok gotcha now. A lot of the engine builds I've seen on here that are 355 stroked get an average of 320 hp just blew me away when i seen the numbers on this one haha
