I feel like it’s like Anna is Prince Charming’s sister and she’s doing a duet with her mom. She’s not actually a bad person but she just wanted to sing at the concert they had.

OMG!! It's Fairy Godmother vs. Dragon!! Okay bare with me here, because this is what I saw in my head while listening to this. So we all know what happens with the happily ever after potion, that both Shrek and Donkey drinks it and we know what happens to Fiona. But what we don't see is what happens to Dragon. What is her beauty? Well all I could see while listening to this is Dragon being turned into a human with some dragonish attributes and kept her wings (because plot). She transforms, is so confused, flies to the swamp, meets the gang there just about to go and bust out our trio out of jail, joins them and helps. Shouts at Donkey “cuz what is goING ON I CAN TALK I LOOK HUMAN AND WHY ARE YOU A HORSE!?!?!” But of course decides to help in saving Fiona from Charming and FGM so while the group gets Mongo (apparently thats his name) she flies ahead to by time. Now a dragon looking chick has no way of getting close to the princess, but to buy some time for shrek to arrive she needs a distraction, how about a song to tell Fiona her hero is on his way??? Well FGM catches on, but can’t make a public scene so instead of transforming/hexing Dragon she tries to take over the show and discreetly take down Dragon. While dragon also tries to discreetly knock out FGM, but obviously can’t just atack her because she would be a stranger ataccing a beloved public figure. so not only are these two ladies having an epic singing battle but also trying to hex and burn one another!! Why yes it is 2am and I should be sleeping, thank you very much ^^

I'm honesty a bit surprised how well their voices blend. It's almost like Anna is meant to be in some kind of big band style music, on a stage being watched by thousands.

I'm glad the actress has actually been credited for once, most people just refer to the version from "Shrek 2" as the Fairy Godmother" version. She's a fantastic comedic actress, in fact I'd say she's ABSOLUTLEY FABULOUS!

I love how the instrumentals used for each version is different- Anna's is more pop and leans heavily into the beat and the fairy godmother's is more orchestral and, idk, fairy-tale like? Just thought it was cool.

this sounds like a movie where two female adventurers (who both joined the adventurers league to find love) work together on a practically life-long mission to defeat an evil lich dragon and this is the song they sing at a tavern they've finally found after long weeks of trekking through the forests of beasts, not knowing they are gonna fall for each other at the end of the movie

To think Jennifer sang this without breaking a sweat! Anna's voice matches so well also

Someone somehow needs to get Jennifer Saunders and Anna together so that they could actually do a duet of this because as amazing as this fantasic mashup is nothing beats "the real thing". Seriously though, such a thing happening would be absolutely LEGENDARY.

I would switch the vocals for when they sing right before the fire in my blood and the last lines of the song because Anna has a bit more punch to her lines which ends the verses smoother but aside from that this is amazing they sound so good together!

Movie idea: Mother who was never rescued by Prince Charming raises her daughter and tries to live vicariously through her. Throughout the movie, they save each other and themselves from rising dangers, as the hero accidentally puts them in danger trying to fight the villain. The mother is adamant the daughter get with Prince Charming, but she's more interested in the villain, who makes very good points or something. At the end, the mother and daughter realize they've never needed anyone to save them, and the mother apologizes for her actions earlier on, the daughter does whatever and I just wanna see typical mother daughter squabbles go on during a fight with a dragon

This sounds like mother and daughter sirens trying to seduce an audience
