Kevin Hart and Pete Davidson becoming movie stars shows how much of a talent vacuum there is. Used to be the likes of Bill Murray and Eddie Murphy. Depressing
There’s plenty of talent out there doing things. It just doesn’t belong to the people who check the correct woke boxes, so it cannot be allowed to be seen in the mainstream.
@@ZeroMass I wanted to agree with the original guy but you're right. Hollywood world find a way to do that completely unironically and ruin that hilarious premise.
I think you are overlooking the creative cinematic genius of the Madea franchise. Perfectly crafted with extreme simplicity for the target demographic.
@Able Table Weird flex. Some opinion are popular for clear reasons. I also dislike remakes and think the Hollywood industry has lost their status as an industry that creates great stories, instead opting for something they saw get some monetary success, rehashes of past good movies. I also understand the reason they do what they do here is all about being where the money is, and woke = marketable in today's fucked up climate. We all know Hollywood has always been plastic in this way. To be a bit fair to these producers/companies, though, they're dealing with multi-million (emphasis on multi) dollar projects, potentially tanking if they stick their neck out to try a new story that bombs, but damn, there's got to be a balance; we do need new stories, because it's hard to respect when they just go and try to remake everything that used to be good to make a new safe dollar. Guess I'm just another robot for logically thinking this, though. Again, weird point of view. There's probably some baggage you're carrying atm that brought that on.
@Miles Travis strange how some people's history matters and sometimes it doesn't. People are such frauds, and I wouldn't give a shit if they came out and said, "yeah I'm a hypocrite.", because at least I could respect the honesty.
The remake of Good Will Hunting will be rewritten so that the Ben Affleck character will constantly chastise Matt Damon's character for "acting white" by "readin' all dem books and $hit" until Will Hunting finally caves into the peer pressure to "keep it real" and abandons any ambitions to get out of the hood and possibly use his gifts to embark on a lucrative career which will help to sustain generations of his family. He will simply decide to disavow learning, and declare that advanced math is 'racist', ensuring that he will remain exactly where he is for the rest of his life. The critics will swoon over the character's decision to remain true to himself and to "his people".
Why're you so mad that blacks invented math, science, agriculture, engineering, architecture, technology and also that they use to travel space through the pyramids interdimensional space alignment calculations. Stop hating you White Devil!!!
I'll never watch it.. So strange, I was just getting my Christmas movies out and Scrooged was the first one I looked for.. I swear my phone listens to my thoughts.. 🤔✌️
@C Mahoney I hadn't thought of that. Funny because growing up bands would do covers and I'd love them. Only for my stepfather to pull out a record of the original band. Lol.
@@billybatts9491 Just before and during the civil war the largest single owner of slaves in the state of Georgia was a black woman. Less than 1% of whites owned slaves, while 3% of blacks were slave owners.
Correction Andy Mcdowell Is an American southern girl. As a matter of fact she had trouble with the English accent when she was acting in the Tarzan Movie Legend of Greystoke w/ Christopher Lambert. (btw one of my fav movies, and very under rated)
I say that shit all the time. They don’t want “equality,” they want “special treatment.” When they start pushing for more Asian running backs in the NFL, I’ll start to believe they really want equality.
According to Ramis, he initially said that it was 10 years, but after rethinking it and accounting for downtime and mistrials the events of Groundhog Day take about 40 years for him to figure out how to end the day. From the man himself, RIP.
@@mikec4487 Eh, he was friends in the way that celebrities are "friends" with anyone they think may further their career. He constantly laid into Kevin, especially on Tough Crowd lol.
@@rhelferstay They came up together in comedy. I think Patrice was probably a little jealous and frustrated by Kevin's outrageous level of success compared to his, but it seemed to me like he made fun of Kevin the same way a big brother would to his little bro. No real hard feelings there.
Pretty sure on some Opie and Anthony appearances Patrice said Kevin wasn't responding to his calls anymore cause Kevin was getting famous and didn't want to associate with Patrice anymore. Not entirely sure though but I thought they were friends but grew apart cause of Kevins ego
Hence the broadway play, Hamilton, which is lauded by the leftist media. But recently even the snowflakes began to turn on the creator of Hamilton, finding his homage to a white historical figure to be 'problematic'. The leftist snake eating its own tail.
I want one of 2 things to happen... to see Ant lose a limb from a freak ice sculpturing accident... or for Ant to discover ice sculpting is his greatest natural talent.
It will start with ant trying to make the eagle but when the wings fall off he wind up converting it to something very phalic and leaving it there until the spring thaw.
They're talking about Scrooged, not A Christmas Carol, which is a time honored classic. Scrooged is just a low brow comedy that didn't even get good reviews when it was released.
God the whole Christmas Carol in a modern day setting has been done to death. Every sitcom even soaps have done this. It was an original idea back in the day when it was done by Bill Murray.
I'm with you about 95%. But the Day of the Jackal (1973) could really use a remake, assuming they don't go woketarded with it. Even with shitty '70s camera work, it was a brilliant thriller. If they could modernize it competently, that would be amazing.
All we are going to see from hollywood going forward are remakes. Mainly due to lack of creativity, in addition to the fact that it will allow the woke leftists who have infiltrated every institution to rewrite history by remaking classic entertaining movies with new casting (non-white actors) and changing the scripts, characters, and storylines in order to fit their narrative and to remove anything that they find to be "problematic" or not "woke" enough.
8:07 H.L. Mencken wrote that we shouldn't assume that the God who created everything still runs the show....perhaps He delegated the day to day operations to a lesser God.
But he says in the movie he cares about her so their argument doesn't make sense, plus Phil becoming a better person is what ends the time loop. Kind of funny though. It was true about the other woman Bill Murray goes out with though. But she wasn't blonde, she was also brunette.
i fucking loved every season of fargo and also havent touched this season lol. i was actually kinda looking forward to it even with chris rock as the main character cuz its been in production for like 2 years now, but after all this shit happened im just so sick of blacks in general. especially on tv.
The apex of Hollywood creativity, remake a classic movie but have the actor be black or a woman and call anyone who questions it a racist or some other buzz word.
I guess the Richard Burton impression which is one of the funniest scenes ever is going to get cut. I fucking hate this. Scrooged is such a perfect film and Murray is so amazing in it. It's like Ghostbusters you can't just recreate it.
Hey Dave, Andie McDowell isn't English like you're saying. She's from fucking small town Gaffney in South Carolina....🤣🤣🤣 so yes that IS her real accent. EDIT: Damn... I should've finished the video before I commented that. 🤣
