Psalm 3: 3
But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
God is the One who picks up our heads. He picks our chins up. So that we will be able to see the light again. When I think of Him lifting me up, I think of a lift. He will help me see above and beyond the mountain that I am facing. I am not going to look into the mountain, but up and over the mountain, because that’s where my help comes from. I am going to be focused on Him, the lifter of my head.
Proverbs 24: 16
For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.
I’ll get knocked down, but I will get up again. By the Spirit of God, by the power of God. I don’t know how, but He is going to make a way. Because He is the way maker. He has no limits. He has no lack in ability. He will make a way and I just have to stand in faith.
We live in times where it’s hard times for people. It’s very hard for people to stand in faith when the things aren’t working and the enemy keeps on rolling in. But I think it’s in these times where you have to prepare for rain. In your time of waiting, you have to pick up your authority again. Maybe go through what God has already paid for you to have. If you stay quiet the enemy will take everything. Speak to your mountain. Speak to your fig tree. Jesus talked back to the fig tree. He didn’t allow it to talk to Him and not talk back. If you stay quiet you are open for suggestion, and it’s like “whatever will happen, will happen”. But if you take charge like God told us to do (rule and reign on earth) then His will is going to happen for us.
Jeremiah 17: 9
“The heart is deceitful above all things
And it is [b]extremely sick;
Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives?
Your heart, soul, mind, will, and emotions will talk you out of the will of God. You have to allow the Holy Spirit to clean and change your heart constantly.
1 Kings 19: 4 - 9
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a lone broom or juniper tree and asked that he might die. He said, it is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers. 5 As he lay asleep under the broom or juniper tree, behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Arise and eat.
6 He looked, and behold, there was a cake baked on the coals, and a bottle of water at his head. And he ate and drank and lay down again. 7 The angel of the Lord came the second time and touched him and said, Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you.
8 So he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and nights to Horeb, the mount of God. 9 There he came to a cave and lodged in it; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, what are you doing here, Elijah?
All of us get to this place where enough is enough. You have no answers left. I have felt how angels bring bread to me when I was in this place. This is supernatural help that God sends us. Elijah asked for dead, but He got bread instead. God won’t put you in a pressure that you can’t handle. He will pick you up, give you bread, put you in a shelter (lodge) and talk to you. “What are you doing here?” in other words… “Lets talk about what’s going on here”.
If you can’t see anything hopeful now, think about what He has done for you already. God does this with me. He tells me in those times, to remember all that He has done for me. Always remembering that He is the same God that helped me there in the past, and He is the same God that will help me here. What He started He will finish. In this way, I am being anchored in His Word.
