Very smart I know this a daft question but why have 4 of them got blue shirts on and the others all brown Very proud of them God bless them all thank you for posting
The reason for the blue shirt is that it's an indication of them being a higher-ups rank. Brown shirts are usually worn by PVT LCpl Cpl and Sgt (e.g., officers, etc)
Marching tune popularised version: “Oh, Campbeltown Loch I wish ye were whisky; Campbeltown Loch, och aye. Oh, Campbeltown Loch now if ye were whisky, I would drink you dry!” NB: Campbeltown Loch is a sea Loch 😊
@@NormanSilver Heck yes I'm a veteran, nine years, which is why I don't presume to call myself a "hero" like people that won valor awards like the MOH or Victoria cross and literally threw their lives at the enemy to save their friends.
The words of the march , 'Campbellden loch I wish you were whiskey, Campbellden lock ouch aye , Cambellden loch I wish you were whisky , I would drink you dry. ' That's what we used to sing anyway.
Probably nobody won’t notice but I did. A major screw up call from drill/ swordsman calling colour party right wheel when the party correctly went left wheel towards him. Just saying from brothers across the pond🫡🇨🇦
@@erniearruda8861 ernie, by “swordsman” do you mean the Officer commanding the parade with sword drawn? He gives the command to march on the colour. The officer, the Ensign, carrying the colour and thus in command of the Colour Party responds “Sir”. The parade commander orders “Present Arms”. The Ensign orders “Quick March” then the controversial Left/Right Wheel, then “Halt” and “Present Arms”. The parade commander orders “Slope Arms”. I’ve listened a few times at various volumes. I understand why some hear the command as “Right Wheel” but the Sergeant Major in the rear of the Colour Party doesn’t bat an eyelash. If the Ensign had mistakenly called “Right” the S/M would have assuredly roared “Left, Sir”.
Im not sure there is a rule against having women in this regiment (as far as I know) it could be that their just so happened not to be any amongst this group (this isn’t the entire regiment obviously) or perhaps due to it being a parade of some kind they want everyone to look the same/be around the same height. I thought the guards at Buckingham palace did that but again I’m not sure
