In this clip, you can see a jig I built to hold down drawer fronts & sides. It attaches to the table with 2 bolts and allows me to hold down material nice & tight. I'm using a 19mm dovetail router bit, and the router is cutting 30mm dovetails.
This is my second CNC router build. It is similar to the 1st one in my other videos, but this time I have installed a water-cooled 2.2Kw spindle, gearing on all axis, vacuum hold down and dust extraction (removed for this job).

It's called Dovetail wizard & it's integrated into Mach3. The software is written by Alan Wagner, and it does everything automatically. Although it's still in beta stage, it appears to be working very well.

Thank you, but that's not my idea. Cutting both pieces (tails and pins) together is the way dovetail joins are normally done, whether by hand, with a jig or on a CNC table. The real advantage of doing it with CNC is that you can easily vary the size of the pins/tails - unlike a jig, where your pin/tail size is limited to the dovetail bit size.

Great vid... have to say: what a beautifully quiet machine, spindle aside, your motors are quiet. May I ask what they are? (And any other info regarding your machine? - I'm a Joe's Hybrid/Evo builder/user.)

Most info can be found on my website - XYZ-CNC.com. I manufacture several different kits for sale. The machine above was one of the early ones - version 2 IIRC. I'm up to version 8 now. They have improved considerably over time...
