This is a true A Capella masterpiece. They sounded like a true horn section at times, and then an organ as you suggested. The video was as brilliant as their performance. Notice how they were ghosted when silhouetted in the windows as if they already passed on into the afterlife.

This is such an emotional song and the content is still relevant. The harmonies are absolutely fantastic and Tim and Chance's voices are phenomenal. These guys do a damn good job! Wow 💥

Thank you Jeffrey! This sounds " Holy " to me! First time I heard it I was broke down and couldn't stop crying! Breathless! Made me think of my Daddy who was a decorated WW2 veteran that was lost that I never had the chance to get to know! War is so tragic and so full of horror. Like a nightmare and for many the nightmare never ends and they can never wake-up from it. PTSD! This is the best performance I've ever seen and heard as far as emotionally conveying a message. Tim's bass sets the tone perfectly and the contrast between him and Austin's high tenor notes is so beautiful! The harmonies are PERFECTION! The arrangement is absolutely brilliant, the videography is fantastic with the lighting. The darkness and the way the light illuminates there bodies almost seems ghostly. I Love everything about it! Truly Phenomenal! I love how Home Free gives appreciation and respect to our military and support of our soldiers. Tim has supported our soldiers for many years and performed at multiple shows and benefit programs and is a big supportive of the Wounded Warrior Project! He and Austin recently did a concert to support at risk veterans and raise funds to benefit that organization. Home Free are more than extremely talented they are just Amazing and Wonderful people!

There's power in music! Home Free has once again put out a message that many people didn't know they needed to hear. Their unapologetic approach to patriotism and messages about sensitive social issues have earned my respect! They are consistently opening up conversations across the globe! This song was written and performed in the 80s by Dire Straits after the Falklands War. I recommend watching their video for this.

As Tim says...."Two things": 1). As the daughter of a WW2 vet and the mother of a Marine who fought in Iraq, this song hits home to me, and 2). I have done a fair amount of singing with pipe organs for accompaniment, and there are parts of this that sound very much like one....but those last 2 notes? EXACTLY like a pipe organ. Shout-out to their arranger, as well. These guys work theirs butts off. So much work goes into rehearsing and recording a video like this. Good reaction. I'm a new subscriber.

Same thing came to my mind too.. Misty Mountains. Tim did a straight out misty mountains end in there. One part sounds like Peter Hollins and his layering during Misty MMountains. Absolutely love this.

This anti-war song was put out by Dire Straits during the Vietnam War. Then, it was laid out by masterful, plaintive guitar work. Here, it is the power of Home Free's vocals that carry the message and even more effectively I would say.

The harmonies between the 2nd and 3rd verse - perhaps because of the various notes of "aaaa" - make me think of sustained wailing. It's such a beautiful sad song that it's almost an elegy. They've taken the Dire Straits song about the Falklands war and upgraded it. Love your reactions and channel.

Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

I was in grade school circa early 1960"s?? when he did it live on his variety show I think it is a video that should be shown in every school at least once a month. and to EVERY FLAMING SCHOOL BOARD in the states.!!!
