Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana is manned by over 14,600 military personnel and 2,000 civilians. It is home to 18 fighter/attack squadrons flying the Navy's most advanced carrier-based F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter jets, totaling 250 aircraft.
The base is the headquarters of Carrier Air Wings 1, 3, 7 and 8. As home to all East Coast strike fighter jet squadrons, the Naval Air Station is classified as a master jet base.

I listen to these ignorant countries and watch them parade their weapons up and down . The other Countries that appear to have very well designed equipment do not need to parade . Do these other Countries ever understand that the money they waste trying to be big could be used to make their countries Greater . Help their Citizens , Families and Neighbors . I don't get it . It is completely encircled by housing developments/towns. There needs to be a new Naval Air Station built for the East Coast and sell this land (extremely valuable) and use the funds for a new base. The public there are always complaining about the jet noise !
