you can get a mini laundry bags for delicates jto put your bras in while you do laundry. this will prevent them from getting messed up during the wash

For the bras, highly recommended getting some mesh delicates bags makes such a difference and protects your bras.

I’m blown away by the paint removal. That is awesome!!! Love the pink radiator and the clean white paint. Doesn’t it feel awesome to have such a productive day? I feel inspired watching you get shit done! Lol! I just watched the Friends reunion and I cried through so much. I’m their age and it’s quite a strange feeling to have had it be such a part of my life and now we’re all middle aged and yet it doesn’t feel that way. I feel young and just as vibrant. Anyway, thanks for another chat and for letting us in on your life a bit. Oh, also, fun fact: I went to high school with 2 of the producers/writers of Friends, really funny and down to earth guys!

There are lead testers for paint. Basically a pen-like tool with a sponge-y end. You activate it and then dab it on the paint to see the result. Learned this on Rescue and Restore's YT channel.

When we took off the wallpaper in our house (which was built in 1910) we discovered a host of lovely bright green lead based paint 👍🏻 we plastered over it and it kept seeping through... like a green nightmare! Lead paint is actually no joke. We finally got the better of it and now it’s a distant memory. Loving your DIY content 🙌🏻

Answer to the question : being big breasted, it goes straight to garbage, however if you want to keep it, sew the escape way and sew along the pad to the underlayer by hand, it's not to difficult and if it's ugly, it's inside ! Just be careful when you tie de knot so it isn't itchy

I love DIY projects, big or small! 😍 Bra wise: I’ve been wearing sports bras for a few years and have ditched the inserts. Too much trouble dealing with the inserts!

my answer is not clever but I just manually untwist the triangles in my sports bra when I wash it in the washing machine. I think a few stitches to keep in place is a good idea if you cba! Or if you wash by hand you'll stop it getting twisted or if it's in a swimsuit I'd remove! lol 👌

@7:10 I take mine out and then keep them with my sewing bits and pieces. Very handy if you ever want to add shoulder pads to an outfit!

I'm so proud of you Lucy, you haven't given up on real bras yet. I think I gave up during month 5 of the pandemic and resorted to sports bras, bralettes, tank tops with built ins...anything to avoid underwire and snaps. Sorry I don't have a solution for the twisty innards of real bras, but I think avoiding them overall does count.

It's funny you should mention that the Friends cast seem like friends to you as I feel the same way about you and Adam. For the future, you can buy lead paint test kits, where you can just test different areas and paints in old homes, so see if you are infact messing with lead. I'm trying to refinish my floors this weekend, so I'm watching this to up my 'girl-power, we can do-it' mental lmao!! Go Lucy!!

Love watching your house stuff. It's amazing what new tech paint stripper does.. old ones used to smell so much or the "natural" ones didn't do anything. So glad you tried it and are stripping the paint. Does not have to be a one day job. We could not do it to ours as the treads were so battered and worn, we would of had to replace all or most of the treads. So we just carpeted the treads and had headboard reisers. Keep up the great DIY work! Top of the stairs looks great!

Regarding the bra questions: you can put them in a bra washing bag! And there is really no way to keep them from twisting if they are removable. Hope that helps 💕
