It is illegal and unethical for a Realtor in some if not most states to disclose it unless they are asked if anything like a crime or murder took place on the property then they have an ethical right to disclose it and would be illegal if the Realtor didn't tell or worse lied about it.

I don’t believe two murders in a house does not affect the sale nor the people who buy the house. There was a house where a son killed his father and elderly grandmother horrifically , a rather large grim house, but it sold eventually for a few hundred thousand less than the asking price and was gutted and remodelled however still was sold a few times after. Bad vibes, spirits, whatever you want to call it, but nothing is ever the same again in a house like this.

I just don't believe a house with a history of murder would have the same ability to be re-sold as any other house. I know a lot of people who would never live in such a residence, including me. Maybe they're bought as investment properties by people who never intend to personally reside in them?

Every time she comes up for parole they show this movie and it just reminds the parole board of how uncaring you were at that time. They will not focus on the good or the positive changes you have made since 1989 when you committed your crime. Every one deserves a second chance at life, and she is 68 years old now( been in prison 25 years now). I know that they have released CHILD MOLESTERS( to commit the same crime against our children) in less time than this. Now where is the fairness in this!!
If her other 2 children were not against her still she would have been out. 2 of the kids have seen the changes and that this is NOT the same woman from 1989. The other two are still unforgiving and bitter saying they were left orphaned even though they have a Mom.

I feel that having a murder which took place in that house should ABSOLUTELY be disclosed to any potential buyers for as long or anytime the house is on the market.

If this house was given to me for free I wouldn't want it. To me, a house where murder was committed is not a warm and inviting place to live. It is eerie and creepy no matter how beautiful it is
When you go to buy a house, ask for previous 911 calls to that house. I would want to know if I was stepping into a shit show of a feud among neighbors, bad energy in the house, creeps known for peeping around the area, etc.
It is currently on the market in 2017 it has sold 5 or 6 times now.. That's like a average of every 4.5 years being on the market.. Meaning why is it being listed all the time to sell and be resold.. The house has a history is that history making the place uninhabitable or what..

Maybe the inside is better looking because, the outside of the house is underwhelming and kind of plain. I know real estate is expensive in CA, but, that house, to me, isn't worth what they are asking. Unless its bigger than it looks, it doesn't look all that...I seem to remember an article on the computer I read about how the house has been redone, including the bedroom, but, it's been so long ago, I forgot exactly what it looked like now, but, nothing anything spectacular.

Dan gave an interview to "The Reader" during that time but it never went to print. One part stood out regarding Betty's propensity to threaten divorce - which she did hundreds of times throughout their marriage, starting on their wedding 💒 night! People always seem to want to blame the man exclusively; as if the woman played no part! However, in Betty's case she most certainly did - and - it was long before Linda Kolkena arrived on the scene! Lastly, I think there are a plethora of bitter women who feel for Betty's plight (pre November 5, 1989) and blindly support the justification for her angry & explosive behavior during those years leading up to its fatal conclusion!!! 💔

In California the realtors have to disclose if someone died in the house whether it was from natural causes suicide or homicide. They have to disclose that

Betty Broderick was engulfed in anger & rage and couldn't move on - even though she fared better than most women in a bitter divorce!!! Anyway, 33 years later (after being found guilty) Betty Broderick still shows no remorse or responsibility for her actions of murdering her ex-husband (the father of her four children) and his new wife - as they slept in their home! November 5, 1989 - comes rushing back. Oddly, a friend & I were leaving Balboa Park last week & he wanted to see The (former) Broderick home in Marston Hills - he thought it was on Upas vs. Cypress! Anyway, oddly & sadly we drove by just a week ago today and we quietly sat in the car thinking about the tragedy that befell The (entire) Broderick Family; and, couldn't believe it would soon be the 35th anniversary of when this horrific nightmare occurred! 💔
